Default 2013 vitz 1.0 F vibration issue at idle

Hey guys purchased a 2013(/2016 import) vitz recently for my wife, a very good 4 grade car with clean interior.
    Issue no.1
The car used to vibrate alot on idle, i cleaned the throttle body changed plugs, air filter the problem still persists!. Help needed
    Issue no. 2
The car gear ratios were very akward, While tuning the car, scanner showed transmission error and upon inspection and draining transmission oil, ATF was fed instead of CVT transmission oil lol. Furthermore the car ratios are now improved but still it takes ages to change the gear. ( i hope this is normal with these vitz as iv never driven one before?)
Help before i eat my brains sell it off !
    Regards

No vibration at idling .. I didn't change any fluid except engine oil and I didn't find any vibration.
Gears changing is also good..no issues we have faced with 2013 56k on odo

a bit vibration at idle is normal , ( small 3 cyl 1kr engine ) . you can always go to toyota shop and ask them to slightly increase the idle rpm through their diagnostic tools

There are no gears in the car as it's CVT. Get the ATF fluid drained ASAP, It's not designed for CVT, only use Toyota genuine CVT fluid.

Vibrations in Vitz is normal. Always mix high octane fuel in the tank to delay the ignition slightly and avoid knocking (3 cylinder).

You may be looking for gear changing but there isn't one. Vitz will never launch, this is hardest part of understanding vitz. It will never spin the tires even if you floor it as power transfer is linear. So keep a light foot on throttle.

Seriously, Get the ATF fluid changed ASAP, use CVT fluid only. I am not sure who in his right mind suggested you to use ATF fluid. You may be looking at 50K loss for replacement if something goes wrong.

It cannot be done for vitz. At least for JDM imported ones.

    Asalamalaikum,

Sorry for the delayed response as i was away, yar God knows who put atf in this car as it was there when i bough the car and the scanner detected it. Changed it on the very first day and now im living with the vibration might sell it off in near future

    Cutting out everything.

Here's what you need to do.

    1) get your car tuned from toyota on the toyota computer. Only that is how vibration issues get resolved. When ever you replace your battery the battery wala needs to put a battery on the terminals or else it's going to come back again.

    2) a cvt transmission is a continuously variable transmission hence no gears. You'll often feel gears slipping I.e increasing engine sound but no speed.

The car drives differently on different situations. Sometimes you'll feel it being sluggish some times it will on the same route. Fuel and driving styles matter.

    3) since you have made a mistake of using atf instead of cvtf make sure you get every inch of atf out.
Get over the fact that Xli lacks power windows, Its an Xli because it lacks thoose features or else it would be a Gli or an Altis if had all the goodies.

I guess I should share my experience here as well. I had this extreme vibration issue in my Vitz as well, It boggled for the first couple days even though my mechanic had his concerns about the foundation of the engine to be broken I didn't pay heed to his observation at first and after a couple days when the intensity of the vibration increased I had to get it checked.

After some inspection, the foundation (left side below battery panel) was broken (in half) replacing that almost reduced the vibration.
