Always check your engine oil, brake oil, radiator n battery water before going on a long route. Also check ur air filter. Thats all you need to do n vitz will have no issues.

    1 more thing...
While you drive, try to keep the speed between 80 to 100 for best average n long engine life. Also, keep an eye on temperature light n check engine light.

    Hope this will help.

You can do that but it's better to have minimum 1500cc car instead of 1000cc for such long distances.

Imran is right.. as for regular long route travel you must be having more powerful car..
Once in a blue moon Mehran also can travel LHR to KHI.. but on regular basis its something different task

If you are buying 2nd gen vitz then get a 1.3 liter one, on long it'll give you equal or better mileage than 1.0 liter if you are buying a 3rd gen vitz then why not go for a used honda city?

For such a long drive go for a car with cruise control. Without cruise control it would be agonizingly long route

Vitz is quite comfortable car and can easily cover long routes. I've used vitz 2007 model for two years and every weekend I drove it between Lahore and Islamabad on M2. You just have to take extra care of the car by changing oil very frequently, CVT Oil and all other necessary maintenance for the car. Also, drive the car carefully on the bad patches and it won't trouble you.

For long routes cars with large displacement such as 1500cc and above should be used as they don't trouble in fuel average and have enough power to get you going through all terrains with few adjustments. But is good car. But it has a noisy cabin

Yes vitz is very comfortable car and it can easily travel between lhr to karachi.
But its better if you get 1300cc vitz for such long routes.Otherwise 1000cc easily fullfill your requirment if maintained well.

mileage is better than all 1.3 liter cars except imported ones with stop start and other mild hybrid technologies, better than cultus even and maintenance wise buy a clean one and I expect it to be cheaper than vitz in long run.

I have Vitz model 2009, registered 2013 1000cc. I have driven all the cars in 1000cc category present in Pakistan and i observed that the Vitz is superior in performance, comfort, handling and maintainance. As my brother drove it to naran back in 2013 in one single stretch and i was astonished by its performance. While I drove it 18 hrs continuously from Lahore to Abbotabad, Murree, Islamabad and back to Lahore in a single go back in 2015. It performed fabulously.

No doubt Vitz is the most comfortable

Seats of many sedans arent as comfortable

But Passo and Mirage might some1 with different priorities or tighter budgets

I have traveled from KHI to ISB many times (offcourse with friends, not with Family ) on Mehran,Cultus, Accord (87 Model) and Vitz.

But all those travels were with friends and I can easily manage if something goes down. People living in punjab have no idea about roads of Sindh. Most of the times un roads py gari 50,60 ki speed py b nhe clala sakty, law and order ky b bohot masly hy. So unless you have not traveled on these roads I dont recommend to go for long drive in Sindh Area (Specially after Hyderabad).

Vitz is very good car and I have gone to Kashmir Nelum Vally and near Naran/Kaghan on my Vitz 1.0 Manual 2003, Vitz easily go there and on straight roads it reaches speed of 140, never tried to push more than that.

I think if you dont install stupid CNG kit in your car it will never betray you and you will enjoy your ride

Yes i have traveled many times karachi to lahore by road and i saw the condition of roads in interior sindh, in fact i live in karachi its my home but doing job in lahore and i visit karachi after 3 to 4 months.

now i think i am near to the conclusion that vitz 1.0 will be fine if i want to travel by road from lahore to karachi and back.

Check a well maintained used Honda City as well. It's mileage is a lot better than many cars including Suzuki Cultus etc. Will give you around 12-13 on petrol.
