    when looking from radiator side it is towards the right side punched vertically on engine block away from the exhaust manifold. i will try & locate the image,

    you may also search this forum for the image i shared few years back, or you may visit FAW show room checkout V2 and ask the engine number of location while checking engine bay it also use the 2SZ-FE

    @capsat. Thanks for the reply.. I did followed your instructions but locate any 6 to 8 digit no near the manifold. A pic of it would certianly help.

    you have to go under the car for that, it is near the fish plate that holds the TC nuts, very hard to get, none of the japanese cars have engine number stamped anywhere on chasis plate or sticker(I maybe wrong but never seen any in vitz, fielder, axio) only the type is mentioned e.g 1SZ-FE, 2SZ-FE etc
    The engine number comes with the auction sheet documents and customs GD and ETO uses the data from it to post the number in Excise record. Nothing special, just forget it and use the car

    Thanks.. But I need to find the exact location where it is. You are right that it should be in the auction sheet..
    Some old forums have mentioned that it is under the air filter? Is it true..

    [QUOTE=capsat;5217009]yes please

    @capsats thanks for reply, i am particular about the use of sensors, especially the oxygen, temp , injectors which are prone to failure or weak performance after prolonged use contributing to bad fuel economy...if FAW parts are usable then we can get rid of KABLI half cut parts and go straight for new parts. I have also experienced the new parts price if inquired against vitz then price is 2.5 times higher then compatible corolla parts...
