    Once you've gotten all of this done you shoudl be more than happy with the way your car drives. I would suggest you take some time out and get your intake manifold cleaned and have your shocks changed (do not get this work or parts from toyota - i can tell you about alot of sources for Vitz parts at a fraction of the cost).

    Also as hash4u once poiinted out you should also get your catalytic converter checked because they fail with leaded fuel and will lead to them becoming choked and killing the performance of the car.

    just make sure you book in advance or they'll make your life miserable. I am a personal friend of the awan family and once i went there with nashit/guncha and i waited for 3 hours only to find out that they hadn't even started working on my car.......

    @Storm

    Will all this maintenance and purchase of oils and parts etc. be cheaper if not done from Toyota and purchased from places like say, Plaza area in Karachi? I was just wondering?

    @tyrone
    indeed it woudl be cheaper to buy the oils (and other parts) from an independant supplier. I just paid the little bit extra for the convenience, luckily i kept track of the costs and shared them here. at least now people can caompare "company" prices with 3rd party prices and look for better deals.

    I always advise people to shop around for such items if they have the time as there is alot of money to be saved by doing this.

    Thanks for the reply @Storm. I guess we usually dont want to take the time out to shop around and prefer to spend a little extra money to get the parts the easy way. I went a number of times to Shershah and you won't believe the stuff u get there.

    Was Toyota importing these parts before anyone else when the Vitz and other cars came into the market?

    @tyrone
    toyota only started to support the vitz when they realised that they were missing an oppertunity to make alot of money. I had no choice as i had to get the car up and running in 1 day as my wife needed the car ASAP.

    @redbull
    pick is good when compared to other 1.0 cars in it's league but even with 1 person it's no performance car. as a general rule of thumb with all of these econocars i'd say each passenger added will subtract 1-2 seconds off it's 0-60 time.

    Are parts easily available in market now, especially in Lahore? I was interested to buy vitz but mechanics warned me not to buy only because of the unavailability of it's parts. More detail is highly appreciated. Thanx

    Same here. Mechanics tend to be against this car. I dont know why. Mine also says the same thing but I am going to go for it as soon as I sell my car.

    My electrcian was saying the reason is that they will lose their customers as this is an EFI car and not much for them to do.

    Is that true?
