Thread: vitz fuel efficiancy

    Default vitz fuel efficiancy

    hi, i came to know that vitz is a fuel efficiant car & i goes 17/17.5 km/L, but after buying it revails that it works like local cars it is going 13.5/14 km/L is it ok?? plz do guide if any one have the software for toyota?? (even poor toyota dealer don't have one) to readjust the machine!

    vitz would give you 17 if you drive it VERY calmly and if the engine is running at 100%.

    I'll suggest you get all the fluids (engine/gearbox/radiator/powersteering fluid) changed, get the intake cleaned, change plugs change all the filters (oil/fuel/air). Aslo items like belts should be checked and please ensure the tyres are no larger than 578mm (overall diameter) and that all unneeded weight is removed from the car (subwoofers, bodykits, extra items from the boot/trunk etc.). These small things will make a HUGE difference to the way your car drives overall and will also give ou peace of mindin terms of reliability.

    Hopefully after all of this you should get approx 15-17 average unless you car is an auto in which case you should be getting 14-16 average.

    should give more then that.. i think it depends on engine n how much your car is driven newer models will give you much better result, my car avg is excellent and i can feel the huge difference between suzuki / coure fuel average with my vitz fuel average

    by just saying vitz you ppl included whole generation of vitz .. which model it is ?
    search the web and u'll get your answer ....
    vitz99 does 13 to 14km
    vitz2003 does 17 to 17.5km
    vitz 2005 does 22km
    i cant believe 2005 does 22kmpl but thats what it said on a site.
