    Default Help Needed - Toyota Vitz

    i have a toyota vitz model 1999

    for the past some time I have noticed that its "o/d off" light is constantly on.


    can some one please tell me what does this mean.

    o/d stands for overdrive..it basically means that ur car is not goin in the fourth gear..
    it is a feature of afaik all auto cars and it is there to save gas/petrol at high speeds..so rite below the button on ur shift leaver there is a smaller button..when the engine is on just press the button and the light will go away

    Its function is to keep the transmission in the third gear and is used to gain better pick but it consumes more fuel.simply click the button on the shift knob o/d off written on it
