    Default Best Vitz (A/T & Petrol) Mechanic in Islamabad

    Can Vitz owners in Islamabad tell me about the best Vitz Mechanic in Islamabad.

    I have a vitz 99 Authomatic Transmission, using on petrol only. But having mileage issues. Its giving me only 10KM/L even without A/C. Changed the plugs (Denso), Genuine Toyota Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter, Cleaned Throttle Body etc. Tranission Oil is also OK. Still not sure whats the issue. So want to have it checked.

    So will wait for the valuable responses.

    if the car runs totally fine and only has a problem with consumption AND car is within 80,000 total mileage then try changing your oil.

    you said you put in toyota genuine oil. that's 20W/50 oil which is too thick for new-ish cars. get 10W/30 oil and you'll see a difference in consumption.

    Havoline (only the one with the red cap) is a good 10W/30 oil which i use in my car.

    if you still have problems let me know.

    good luck.

    @ngen........

    Thanks for your response dear. Actually after changing the oil it did give me a mileage of 14KM/L but it was doing knocking so i went for tuning to a mechanic which someone told me. He cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the sesor etc and adjusted the RPM and after that it is just giving me 10KM/L....therefore, i am sure its the problem of setting.....coz the pick is also very low and maximum attainable speed is also around 100....which is nothing as my car is on petrol.......so thats why i want to go to some professional mechanic. If you can recommend someone........

    I went for tuning which costed 1000 Rs. Was just for mental satisfaction. Thats All. they are knwon for the ECU diagnostic which they do. they tell you completely about your engine. I would recommend you installing cng if you run your car more. My vitz 05 got CNG and it gives me 170 in 300 Rs gas. Mind blowing Average!

    PuNk & hash4u

    Thanks for your comments. Actually I will sale this car in a month or two coz I am moving to Dubai in December as already got a job there in a telecom company otherwise would must have installed the CNG. Actually I was supposed to move there 3 months back but it got delayed. At that time I had a corolla 98 XE. Sold it but when my joining delayed I purchased this car for interim period as I loved this car and its the best car in 1000cc range. So will keep it on petrol and will sell it in December before I leave. So will go to Nazir tomorrow to get the car tuned to get better mileage.

    I went to Nazir Motors on saturday and got my Vitz tuned, and i am happy to share that the difference is quite noticeable. Pick has been increased and now it doesn't feel that car is under-performing. Now i will note any improvement in mileage, which i am sure would be there.

    Thanks to PuNk for reccomending this workshop to me.

    Dear mmumtaz

    yes they are true professional and not money greedy people because when i went to them they did the ECU checking through equipment for any electronic error and ALHAMDOLILLAH there wasn't any single error in my car and accordingly they advised me that i don't need any tuining as there are no errors. However, i got my car's service (throttle body tuning, plugs cleaning, rpm setting etc etc) as my car's average wasn't good. And they did complete tuning, fuel pressure checking, sensors cleaning and charged me only 1,000 rupees for all this. guys are properly tarined with all the latest equipments and instruments. The best mechanic out of all is Sattar and you can go there and ask for him directly.

    Best of luck.
