Helix Ultra or Mobil 1 are best options available.

If synthetic, arent you suppose to clean the engine of some old residues(how to do it)? and once synthetic always synthetic is that the case?

Besides, whats the grading on Havoline metal protection?

Hmm.. ok, even i think its not a good idea cos since 8 years i think the other dude was running this car on regular oils, so how about Semi-synthetics? i could go for that, any idea which one? or Havoline's deposit shield? any idea abt that?

    Thanks

as i have said many times before, these are city cars and therefore have alot of stop-start use and that means that you should pay alot of attention to the oil changes.

personally i suggest mineral or semi-synthetic since it's better to change oil more often than pay for a very expensice oil and pray it holds up for a long time.

however if you can afford it, the ideal setup would be to use fully synthetic and to change it regularly (but i can NOT justify doing that).

    @ Storm

Thanks, could you please let me know which(brand) semi-synthetic oil is available or should be prefered, and should i flush the engine with something,(flushing fluid, new oil etc) or just pour the new oil and filter in? Would be a great help if you could quote some brands and their prices as well.
