AOA All,Can anybody help me out in choosing the colour for my beetle?
I am not interested in metallic one.
So far I a have decided "Poppy Red".

Thanks a lot in advance.

I would suggest you to choose a color as per correct year/model of your Bug which will actually suit on your bug. Volkswagen color codes are little bit difficult to find but you must try for the correct ones.
Thanks Bro for this. Acutally I have selected "Poppy Red" colour from the available colours. My Beetle Model is 73 1300 CC.
Can you please guide me in keeping the above.
So I think you've chosen almost right shade as per your model/year because Poppy Red is nearest to Phoenix Red which is one of the correct color shade for 73 Bug.

signal red would be nice as it is a Porsche colour and is a SOLID colour. however it's best to stick to a colour which is easily made and sprayed in PK so speak to your local paint shop before making a final decision.
Looking for an 091 or 002 bus transaxle. Anyone know where one can be sourced from? any help will be appreciated
A senior club member was looking for a project super beetle and we found him one. Please be warned that this is not for the faint hearted. The car would require extensive work and sourcing of parts. It may be a few years before this baby is back on the road.
Here are a few pictures of the rescue.
It took the muscle power of about a dozen guys to bring the car out of its resting place. Once outside the tight corner it was loaded onto the waiting flat bed. the car is full of junk but that is a challenge for another day.
Reached home
This one's going to need one hell of a body job to get it done right... with not much Super bug parts available locally... its going to be a big challenge...
maybe a complete donor car is required to do it right
Or maybe make this the donor... if it has salvageable parts...
original ideas!
Hi... Have a question... i've been considering lowering my 1303 and from what i understand, the front Mcpherson Strut suspension is not adjustible height wise... The rear although can be lowered by the adjustment nut on the torsion bar... the only possibility i can think of for the front is that i should get the front suspension opened up and then take the springs out and replace them with smaller sized springs...
Any one with any experience in doing that on Supers?? need to know if this is a workable option as i dont want to have the original springs cut to lower the height...
Hassan,
I do not suggest you lower the Super. Rear is no problem but the front would give you endless trouble. Super suspensions are tricky to set up right, even to stock specs and require much expense and expertise few mechanics have in Pakistan. A workable option is dropped spindles if you have the means to import them in. I do not recall seeing dropped spindles for Supers on the www online shops but maybe I have not looked hard enough.
Best regards.
Hmmmm... i was think more on the lines of dropping it and adding a stabilizing anti-roll bar between the two shock towers...
