    Default Discussing to convert beetle on CNG

    I would like to convert my 1969 VW beetle 1500 cc to CNG and need help to get it done nicely.

    Where should cylander be fitted behind rear seat or under front hood. how much mileage beetle give on 55 cylander.

    what modification required for CNG.

    thanks for reply which CNG kit is suitable and where cylander (rear compartment or front hood) fitting is suitable.

    sir je Landirenzo brand is No.1 i think. otherwise silvestry or tomasito etc (sorry if spell mistake)

    but use only inflex cylender EKC is gud but its indian made.
    40 or 55L cylender is best for beetles. and u can installed in ur digi (rear comp.) easilly.

    yap no problem on cng in beetle. A friend of mine has a beetle on cng and his car is daily driven. If you want further information i can ask from him and tell you or give u his number

    Thanks for reply dear AZKhan , I got shifted my beetle to CNG but its speed is limited to 55 mile/hour, what should i do to overcome this problem, pls discuss this problem to your friend , if there is any solution, what performance his beetle given regarding speed.

    howmuch it is doing petrol, my cousin's beatle easily does 70.

    i want to suggest that why not swap a 1000cc efi engine first. it will be a good update and will be more stable on gas

    Engine swapping in a beetle is a pain in the butt. Don't do it. You'll be replacing gearboxes every other month or so.

    Try enjoying your car as it is. The top speed of 50mph as you mentioned is good enough, don't you think? 50mph equals ~80kmph.
