Now that the JDM versus PKDM war seems to have ended here, let me share some of the issues in Wagon R faced by me, that may help the prospective buyers in taking a well-informed buying decision.

Alhumdulillaah, bought the VXL version 8 months ago, and have driven it for 3,200 KMs so far.

Issues faced by me (from most important to least important)

    1. The car wobbles wildly in windy conditions. I have observed it moving here and there unexpectedly especially on highways, bridges built over rivers, and roads which are open from both sides. At that time, it seems a real nerve racking experience driving the car in such situations, especially over taking any vehicle on a single road with traffic from both sides.

    2. The car's interior cabin is silent but the fuel pump, which makes a mild noise when its full.

    3. The car's front seats are quite spacious, but the back seats are not too spacious for long journeys.

For me, point No. 2 and 3 ante are not that much of a concern but point No. 1. Last week, I took my family to a river and as soon as I drove the car on a bridge built over the river, it began swagging here and there wildly. So, if you travel frequently in breezy areas, then this car is certainly not meant for you.

P.S: I repeat, this post is meant for prospective buyers only. Cheers

although the wobbling part as u hav explained sounds even more worse thn expected.. but do we hav another option in Pak, with such fuel economy, cheap maintenance and a good resale?? (Faw V2 ki baat nahi karni).. Sadly d prospective buyers of WagonR dont hav any option in Pakistan yet..

Perhaps yes. No doubt, it's a good car considering the lack of brand new car options in 1000 CC category, but after driving it on bridges and highways in windy conditions, I have got a lesson

Bro i suggest dont sell the car just becoz of cross winds as all cars are affected by this. Some to a less extent and some more. Wagom r has tall design so it gets more affected. In windy conditions one should drive very carefully even he is driving a merc or bm. There should be no exception. Rest is upto u. Best of luck.

Brother, to share my experience here, I have also driven Mehran and Kei (660 CC JDM) in windy conditions and earnestly speaking, never felt any abnormal wobbling on road. Within city, Wagon R's drive is far beyond in quality as compared to Mehran and Kei (660 CC JDM) but driving it in windy conditions is an extreme nerve tester Thank you for the valuable suggestion though

In windy situation drive the car with closed windows. Wider tyre provide u more grip.

Breakers in our country hv no standard. These r nt speed breakers these r car breaker. If u see some step breaker then pass it slowly diagonally.

Cheers
High roof design itself is not suitable for open roads, highways so any car falling in this category will not be suitable for these areas. Same case is with Wagon r. Tall car design has its positives and negatives, it is more suitable for urban areas or areas usually having mild wind pressure.

Tyres are stock ones, but wobbling remains the same even with the windows closed in windy conditions.

As per my experience, wobbling remains the same irrespective of the windows being opened and closed. That is the main point of concern for me, as I take my family to the riverside every weekend and have to face this unwanted wobbling on open roads / highways.
