Assalaamu Brothers & 'Eid ul Fitr Mubarak.

I have a small question: Recently, after I bought my Wagon R VXL, I have been facing some criticism regarding some aspects of it, though I was successfully able to defend my choice (within my budget parameters), but I would like to ask here one thing, since Wagon R VXL comes with front power windows and rear manual windows. Can any one here share with me pics of any JDM car, which has also got this thing. I had seen photos of such a JDM car on Pak Wheels a few months ago, but have not been able to find that page again. Many Wagon R haters, making prognostics about its possible failure need to be informed that this is not some thing new in Wagon R, rather it is some thing that many JDM cars possess in their in-built system (that is, front power windows + rear manual windows). Please help?

What happened man ? why in first place you have to defend yourself ? are you not enjoying your ride ? its mileage ? ac ? soundless engine ? space ? Its a new car and can never be compared to used jdm, because if you go with used you will have lot of others option in 11-12 lacs in local and import.

Mark my words, it will never fail, it wont be as popular as cultus, may be, but it will continue and people will buy it, I can tell you WagonR is better in terms of "Value for money" than Swift and cultus, I hope people here understand value for money phrase.

Nothing to disagree with you. That's why I went for Wagon R after doing my home work. I only wanted to show some people that having auto front windows and manual rear windows was not something new in Wagon R. In fact, many JDMs also possess that feature. Only to prove that point did I need pics of any JDM with that feature. I had seen pics of such JDM in Pak Wheels, couldn't find it now. Rest assured, I am a totally satisfied user of Wagon R. Cheers

yes khoobsoorat chor, keep it at 30. The same tyre spec is given in India and Indonesia and this car is successful there. So it is not that Pak Suzuki is cheating us here.

Follow the recommended tyre pressure (y)

Ahmed bhai, further to what Sarkaar bhai has beautifully summed up, here is my humble opinion. First of all, it is unfair to compare Wagon R with any JDM car. Those with this frame of mind, should also compare Japanese corolla with Pakistani Corolla, or Pakistani Civic with Japanese Civic, or Pakistani City with Japanese City, or a 3.5m+ Pakistani Vigo...and so on and so forth. The fact that a 1.5m corolla still has manual windows (the 2014 one has no immobilizer or climate control), or 2m+ civic and corolla/Vigo etc have far less features than their international models, should be a clear answer to all such people.

It is only justified to compare Wagon R with PKDM cars in this price range and engine size. And like Sarkaar bhai rightfully said, no other car gives the same value for money, not even a corolla XLi (which i currently drive).

The only available options are a Mehran, Cultus, Swift and Santro. I have driven all of them and "personally speaking", none of them comes anywhere near the Wagon R in terms of driving position, comfort, soundless engine, brake and space. I mean, you sit in a swift, and then you sit in a Wagon R. You would immediately notice the space and the much more beautiful interior. The roof height is so comforting that it soothes you. I would only compare Wagon R with Swift, not with Cultus or Santro.

When I was buying a Wagon R, a friend offered a Japanese Wagon R with parking sensors and infrared radar (i cant recall properly, but i think it had climate control as well). The only problem was that the car had an accidented bonnet. Though he assured me, aisi repair ho gi, ke pata bhi nahi chalay ga, yet I could not commit 1m+ of my hard earned money to a chance. So I bought peace of mind by buying a zero metre car alhamdolillah, instead of going for better specs.

Yesterday morning, it was raining heavily in Lahore and being Eid day and rain, the roads were empty. Although i am a calm driver usually, but the car was giving me so much pleasure that i drove above 100, wherever I got a chance. And my confidence in this car is further strengthened. I could never have driven a used car, with unknown history, like this.

So, my humble advice would be, to focus on the positives. There are many bad points in this car, but the good outweigh the bad by far. Happy motoring .

My respected brother, I totally agree with you. I am not at all comparing Wagon R with the likes of any JDM or other vehicle. Perhaps, the usage of the words 'Wagon R' together with 'JDM' sparked the emotions of the current owners of Wagon R that I began to be told to look at the pros and ignore the cons in Wagon R. I repeat that I am not at all comparing Wagon R with any other vehicle. Before buying a Wagon R, I had driven Suzuki Potohar Jeep, Daihatsu Charade, Daihatsu Cuore, Suzuki Kei Automatic (JDM), and Suzuki Mehran, and believe me, I found my Wagon R to be on top of all those vehicles I drove in the past.

I only wanted some one to help me out in sharing pics of any other vehicle of any make or model with front power windows and rear manual windows (as is the case with my Wagon R VXL) so as to clarify this misconception amongst many people that by introducing this concept of front power windows and rear manual windows, Pak Suzuki didn't do something insane (as such people don't know that many JDMs also come with front power windows and rear manual windows like Wagon R). Hope I clarified my point. Cheers

My aunt in UK owns a 2013 Toyota yaris hybrid (top of the line) and that too has manual rear windows and a suspension stiffer than a tractor trolley.

I hope the suspension of jdm vitz is better.

But at the end of the day.... As sarkar and abujamal said there is no need for this when you've already taken the decision to buy wagonR ... just focus on the goods of that car as a normal consumer.... Why do you have to fight the case for wagonR ... if even pak-Suzuki isn't bothering to do so......

Havening said all this...I still believe giving only 2 power windows is a cheap tactic to save costs..... But if the manufacturer has chosen to do that what can you do..... You have bought the car for the goods it has.... Not the bads it possess.... So just chill and enjoy!!
