Even if Cultus is not discontinued, why would you go for the car which anyone can buy 15 years ago, it has not changed since 15 years. Cultus ka engine 1990s ka hai or Wagon R ka engine 2009 ka hai. Wagon R bhi Pak suzuki nei launch ki hai, Parts are getting cheaper and widely available, it will have resale after 3 years which you want.

I am sure that " someone" does not owns a wagon r himself and has not driven it on rough roads and highways.
Take a test drive and then decide.

Guys (wagonR owners and other conditional/unconditional supporters)...you like it or not... This passo VS wagonR thing is a real thing... It really confuses you... As passo (though not zero Meter) gives you a lot of value in terms of features ... With not bad re sale...and almost same price range...... So i won't call it a no Brainer at all... As you most of people on this forum does...

True that, passo is the good option, but as highlighted it depends on need, if auto is not the car one is looking for then WR is better option. Parts of passo are available but expensive. Passo is expensive as well, my car is 18k driven now after 1.5 years, passo you will get would already be run around 40k-80k, for a new car it will require another 3-4 years to do that much mileage. So WR overall cost you very cheap comparing to passo.

My mentality is same as bro sarkar.one should go for zero meter n get peace of mind for atleast 2 years..wagon r isnt a car for racing..it is for cool drivers..but it is perfect car in gud price..y 1 shld go4 abused car used by unknown persons and tke a used tng in a gr8er prce tag...But yes if passo 0 meter is compared then pasoo 4 sure but its imposible in 1million.

Another thing came to my knowledge about jdm cars that their actual calculated milage is more then meter reading bcz of huge traffic jam in japan. The ten minute distance is covered in 2 hrs.

Mileage will improve after 5k and slightly after 10k odo...
Don't install fog lamps or headlight bulbs because it will void electric warranty...

I was in the same confusion prior to buying the car few months ago. I read all the posts of Pak WR thread and some JDM threads, the objective was to decide Pak Wagon R Vs 660CC Suzuki JDM . I could not get on some conclusion and went to Suzuki Showroom Sawan Rawalpindi and took the test drive of WagonR, it was very good as compared to Mehran and cultus. After the test drive the sale guy opened the bonnet to show me the engine with rust on bolts, I was shocked to see rust on zero meter car so got little disappointed.[Pak WagonR is the cheaper version of Japanese WagonR, customized with lesser features(if not quality at least) for Malaysian market as per wikipedia]
In the meantime an owner of Local WagonR had an accident and posted on this thread about the prices and availability of spares that he has to wait for weeks to arrive parts from Malaysia that was again an off point. Ref https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/wag...61#post4730982
In the mean time I took a test drive of a Toyota Vitz 2008 Model with 89000KM driven, frankly speaking and UNBIASEDLY there is no comparison between Pak WagonR zero meter and JDM. so finally imported a Suzuki Stingray WagonR 2012 Model. Its drive is great and the feature it has are not even available in new model of Civic but its maintenance is costly as compared to PakWagonR (Now a days parts are readily available in 3S dealership in Rawalpindi). Therefore Pak WagonR is a clear winner in respect of maintenance cost, but if you see the comfort of driving and features then JDM Suzuki is a clear winner.
Another thing worth mentioning is that AC of Pak WagonR is much better than Suzuki JDM 660CC.

Good comparison. Bt when we talk abt features of w.r and jdm we forget one thing that production cost of jdm is atleast 5 lacs greater than pk w.r. we cant get features of jdm in a new car in one million. If pk w.r cost equal to jdm then we can get these features bt problem is in that case, a lot of us cant afford a pk w.r.
