I won't attribute these no.s fully to Pak Suzuki's success in bringing up the sales, but rather the limited availability of local alternatives here in Pakistan..

Had there been more renowned Companies making smaller cars, these no.s won't be as high.

Don't take me wrong.. I have booked a WagonR myself and waiting for it's delivery which is 45+ days.

I am just spelling out my frustration that we Pakistanis don't have reasonable alternatives to choose from. (Buying a 2nd hand JDM is not the same as buying a new car so don't bring up that argument plz)

i know that we have v limited options here in Pakistan and these 3 thugs are looting us big time..
but my point is atleast people have started to choose the better option from the few given.
i agree that wr has many flaws n cons but atleast its better then 16 years old cultus.

Unfortunately when it comes to Pakistan things are totally opposite, Mehran n corolla used to be most selling cars and both have nothing to do the word quality, features etc yet again the same high sales thingy. well when you are in rome, better be like it ☺. Higher sales, premium amount over n above the actual etc are the indications of a successful car though sometimes one or more are nt healthy n positive but again, local benchmarks for the success evaluation of any vehicle.

Alhamdolillah Wagonr is doing quite well as with passage of each day, road share is increasing n increasing. Remember, road is cruel n doesnt spare anyone. It portrays in minutes the status of any vehicle on it.

I daily travel about 110 Kms daily on my VXL with a terrain combo of urban, rural and motorways. Alhamdolillah and mashAllah it won my heart when I was having a 3s maintained 04 corolla and a brand new Mehran Euro 2 VXR and its the best alternative of my corolla for me. I enjoy every kilometer being covered on my VXL. A smooth n buttery ride, for further pleasure you can change stock tyre set to a softer brand e.g. Dunlop for me since its my old partner on corollas, aforesaid Mehran but stick to the nearest to company specs.

THank you. I had booked my car on 28th April 2016. Due to the EID holidays the delivery was delayed by more than a week, I was originally promised delivery on 2nd July 2016. When I went to pick the car up, the car was not clean and the floor mat was very dusty. I scolded their management for a sloppy job despite paying them full price upfront for the car more than 2 months ago. Thankfully they admitted their mistake and cleaned up the car properly for me. I had a checklist with me which I used to check everything worked as intended. One thing that really surprised me is that the car was very responsive even with AC turned on to the MAX (it was extremely hot & humid today and i was literally sweating buckets). Brakes are a bit soft for my taste though, will ask them to tighten them up a bit on my 1st service which comes on 1000 kilometers. Even though they agreed to provide me floor mats & mud flaps free of charge, as pretty much all dealers in Lahore are providing them for free, they cheaped out at the very end. I did convince them to provide them to me, but told me I'd have to wait for 15 days before I'll be able to get my hands on them. They did not leave a very positive overall impression on me to be honest. I'm reluctant to bring the car to them for my first service. Would like to know if I can take Wagon R to any other Suzuki 3S dealership like Sethi Motors for example. Would they refuse to service me or charge double for the services rendered as I didn't purchase the vehicle from their showroom. Would need some clearance on this matter.

I'm grateful for the thoughtful feedback. Overall drive feels quite smooth, though I did somewhat felt the roll-on when i tried to take a sharp turn albeit at a speed slower more or less equal to 60. I fully intend to replace the tyres and horn on the car, as to be honest they both invoke the feeling of being in an auto-rickshaw. Nevertheless, I have to say for its price, its currently unbeatable. True, it lacks some really necessity items which is pure criminal negligence on PakSuzuki part, but for what its worth, the car stood up to its promise.

I am looking to get my car insured soon however, and am currently looking for different options in this matter. Would anybody be kind enough to shed some light on Takaful or insurance. Like what's the difference between the 2 and which one's the better? How much percentage is currently being charged on either takaful or insurance? Which company to opt in for this very purpose and why? IN case of claim how long it takes to process the claim and so on. Hope to hear some favorable replies from you kind folks.

I also intend to get the car registered by myself, as the showroom is charging me close to 37K for the complete registration. Even though from what I've calculated it shouldn't cost me more than this:

    1. 1% Registration Charges of Invoice Value (1,024,000 excluding witholding tax = 10,240.-
    2. Life Time Token Tax = 10,000.-
    3. Advance Income Tax (For FIler) = 10,000.-
    4. Professional Tax = 200.-

    Total Tax Amount = 10,240+10,000+10,000+200 = 30,440.-

Please correct me if I'm wrong about this figure. I believe this is the figure needed to get the car registered under an active Filer (i'm an active tax filer). Why they're charging me close to 37K is a mystery in itself.

    1. 1% Registration Charges of Invoice Value (1,024,000 excluding witholding tax = 10,240.-
    2. Life Time Token Tax = 10,000.-
    3. Advance Income Tax (For FIler) = 10,000.-
    4. Professional Tax = 200.-

    Total Tax Amount = 10,240+10,000+10,000+200 = 30,440.-

Please correct me if I'm wrong about this figure. I believe this is the figure needed to get the car registered under an active Filer (i'm an active tax filer). Why they're charging me close to 37K is a mystery in itself.
Since was used to corolla's horn for many years and those were pretty adequate to do the job thus added another horn on the lower grill almost exactly under the genuine one as there are already cuts available which facilitate the sound to be loud and clear ending up doing a very nice job and managed to get somewhat the same sound as of my ex corolla's. ☺

I would advise to stick to your own 3S as this is Pakistan n may be a natural factor too, other wont gonna entertain you as required unless you have got some special n authoritative contact over there based upon my own experience n multiple factos ( better be shared on phone if desired ☺). Yeah what you can do is that prior handing over the car to them for any activity, discuss everything n try to get things done politely as per your requirements n keep the combination of a bit serious n strict tone n give an impression that if didnt get services as per my right then would have escalate the matter to the highest level say karachi complaint centre bla bla bla.

Actually I have been through all this, let me share a short story of my ex Mehran VXR Euro 2. While driving it to my home from the showroom, rear section was like if some body has placed 2-3 cooking big Pateelas made of steel with loose covers and one can imagine how cumbersome sounds those could produce. Well 3S feedback was that since CNG is discontinued therefore mysteriously car shocks are not performing well n this is the complant of every Mehran however how I managed to fix that issue in couple of weeks partially ALLAH and i know that but I had to go to the complaint centre with a rigorous followup coupled with some contact at 3S etc.

Insurance is conventional system whereas Takaful is the Islamic version of the same services but with Islamic principles at the back end. My employer bank charges 3. 6% on a brand new vehicle's financing and this is for just an idea. You can check details with the desired one for your car.

I just want to say its not fault of only master motors, Fraud is in blood of this nation. I personally hate all dealer they don't care how you get money to buy car, Its not a product of few thousands, We are talking about millions.. but who cares..
When you will go out of Pakistan, you will see a big difference no dealer will show dirty and incomplete car in front of client. because they know its all about first impression.
All of dealers use your car for attending their personal use until you pick car from showroom, mene khud kae baar dekha he k showroom me rakha koi 3rd grade worker apki car leta he sakoon se shadi attend kerta he, or wapis la ker khadi ker deta he.. ek baar ek customer car pick kerne aya Mini Motors Lahore me dealer k pass he booking k liye gaya hua tha.. customer ne pocha car kahan he tu 30min se goliyan kerwa rahe they sir aap bethen abi apko dikhate hn.. anyways me bhi bahir display per khada tha k thodi dair baad he unka assistant fully loaded car with wife, sali, kids k wahan a gaya he.. Customer who scene dekh ker marne wala ho gaya..

Or uska marna banta bhi tha, who says he is getting Zero Meter Car ??

Zero Meter car means, k Car ka 1st Start khud customer kare na k wahan mojood safai wale.

Even you see in just within Lahore there are hundreds of dealers but all of them have competition of just buying bigger showroom. no once care about customer satisfaction.
Yaar jahalat ki intiha yeh hay k inse itna bhi nahi hota k kum az kum customer k samne car lane se pehle usay fully ready ker k uski detailing wagera tu ker dn takay jab customer Car dekhe tu usay itna he sakoon ho jaye k yes this dealer was his right choice and his car is most beautiful car in the world.

Mechanics k pass jao tu who 99.99% are fraud, most of them are just Mehran engineer and do experiments on latest cars because they have no idea about New Technologies, What engine is.. all they know just tighting screws, oil change, filter, that's it.

People are ready to pay, but they need perfection and quality.

I enjoy every kilometer being covered on my VXL. A smooth n buttery ride, for further pleasure you can change stock tyre set to a softer brand e.g. Dunlop for me since its my old partner on corollas, aforesaid Mehran but stick to the nearest to company specs.
Did u use the same tyre size (of Dunlop) as stock?

And how would u compare Dunlop with Yokohama tyres?

See on youtube Goraas polishing their cars like they even won't wash their mouth like that.. if you love your car then show that love.
    just do it yourself.

well not yet ,a change this time because firstly Wagonrz stock tyre set is not fetching a reasonable price in the market due to unusual tyre size and were much used when I bought my car i.e.28800 KMs and here I am mentioning just my case. Secondly, tyres were adequately good thus decided to use them for a reasonable time so that the difference amount may not hurt me much

worth mentioning that stock tyre set does the job pretty well but yeah I miss that improvement n pleasure which one enjoys after a replacement as when I bought Mehran Euro2 VXR as a second car, replaced its stock tyre set on 400KMs with difference amount of just Rs 5,500 I guess for a pin pack replacement but the improvement n drive pleasure both were awesome. For corolla, Dunlop remained marvelous too for me at the least being not too costly yet hyper soft n lovely.

But for Wagonr, story is a bit changed n have already shared. But one thing is sure based upon my past experiences that replacement of stock set with Dunlop (company specs or nearest possible) would improve the drive pleasure, lower tyre sound and bring more softness.

Have never used other than Dunlop, once my friend switched to Yokohama A Drive from Bridgestone the latter being very hard on his maintained Margalla but even at that time Dunlop felt to be softer than Yokohama but that was my experience couple of years back. Whomsoever wants to replace, it is advised to check all the potential brands side by side and from 3 reputed shops at the least for respective priorities and then make a decision.

Anybody who has replaced or intend to pl share the comparison experience vis a vis softness n weight keeping company or near to It specs in mind.

Thank you for the detailed reply. My Wagon R is 3700KMs driven. Bought it new in Jan, 2016. I was also planning (or may be just thinking right now) to replace stock tyres with yokohama or some other brand, whichever does good job on wagon R. I will surely read other comments here as well. But one user, few pages back, posted that he bought yokohama e31s ecos, and other users were praising those tyres. So i was just wondering, if those were the best tyres available for Wagon R.

Since this is my first car, and i have no experience about tyres and other similar things. I keep reading posts on this forum, to keep myself updated and informed about Wagon R and other cars.

I replaced mine last week with bridgestone 165/70 R13. They are soft than original and ride is smoother than stock. I used stock tyres for 12000 km. I was planning for Yokohama but could not find in that size. My first experience with bridgestone and will keep updating...

I will visit market tomorrow and check prices and availability of tyres. If i am going to change tyres, i think i will stick to stock size.

There is not much difference so I went for 165/70 R13... Except these tyres are wide which looks good and have a good grip on road... You can compare both sizes as shown in picture Pak Suzuki Wagon R Owners Club - df80ad59fb9352db4336bc79e3e5396d
