THank you. I had booked my car on 28th April 2016. Due to the EID holidays the delivery was delayed by more than a week, I was originally promised delivery on 2nd July 2016. When I went to pick the car up, the car was not clean and the floor mat was very dusty. I scolded their management for a sloppy job despite paying them full price upfront for the car more than 2 months ago. Thankfully they admitted their mistake and cleaned up the car properly for me. I had a checklist with me which I used to check everything worked as intended. One thing that really surprised me is that the car was very responsive even with AC turned on to the MAX (it was extremely hot & humid today and i was literally sweating buckets). Brakes are a bit soft for my taste though, will ask them to tighten them up a bit on my 1st service which comes on 1000 kilometers. Even though they agreed to provide me floor mats & mud flaps free of charge, as pretty much all dealers in Lahore are providing them for free, they cheaped out at the very end. I did convince them to provide them to me, but told me I'd have to wait for 15 days before I'll be able to get my hands on them. They did not leave a very positive overall impression on me to be honest. I'm reluctant to bring the car to them for my first service. Would like to know if I can take Wagon R to any other Suzuki 3S dealership like Sethi Motors for example. Would they refuse to service me or charge double for the services rendered as I didn't purchase the vehicle from their showroom. Would need some clearance on this matter.
I'm grateful for the thoughtful feedback. Overall drive feels quite smooth, though I did somewhat felt the roll-on when i tried to take a sharp turn albeit at a speed slower more or less equal to 60. I fully intend to replace the tyres and horn on the car, as to be honest they both invoke the feeling of being in an auto-rickshaw. Nevertheless, I have to say for its price, its currently unbeatable. True, it lacks some really necessity items which is pure criminal negligence on PakSuzuki part, but for what its worth, the car stood up to its promise.
I am looking to get my car insured soon however, and am currently looking for different options in this matter. Would anybody be kind enough to shed some light on Takaful or insurance. Like what's the difference between the 2 and which one's the better? How much percentage is currently being charged on either takaful or insurance? Which company to opt in for this very purpose and why? IN case of claim how long it takes to process the claim and so on. Hope to hear some favorable replies from you kind folks.
I also intend to get the car registered by myself, as the showroom is charging me close to 37K for the complete registration. Even though from what I've calculated it shouldn't cost me more than this:
1. 1% Registration Charges of Invoice Value (1,024,000 excluding witholding tax = 10,240.-
2. Life Time Token Tax = 10,000.-
3. Advance Income Tax (For FIler) = 10,000.-
4. Professional Tax = 200.-
Total Tax Amount = 10,240+10,000+10,000+200 = 30,440.-
Please correct me if I'm wrong about this figure. I believe this is the figure needed to get the car registered under an active Filer (i'm an active tax filer). Why they're charging me close to 37K is a mystery in itself.
