    Default How to verify if ABS brake system of my WagonR is in working condition?

    Dear Friends;

    As I have recently got WagonR Japanese. I want to make it verified if its ABS brake system is working perfectly or not. Kindly guide how do I verify it. According to my information, with ABS brake system, the wheels of vehicle CAN NOT be jammed/locked and thus don?t slip on road. Is it correct?
    I have noted that if I press the brake peddle, the wheels slip on road.

    speed up the car till 80 and then apply sudden brakes till complete stop! if u hear a grinding sound like khrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrr then it means that abs is working without locking the tyres. there will be no screeching sound from the tyres if abs is fine. moreover there is an abs light in the speedo before starting the engine and it goes off as soon as the engine is cranked!

    Simply apply hard brakes and feel if ABS is activated. Be careful and select an empty/ idle road.

    tyres don't jam completely but still you can hear minor squeals with cheap tyres that would repeat as abs would activate, deactivate brakes upon reaching skid limit.

    if you want some fun with it then speed up the car upto 100 or more, wear seatbelt and make sure road is empty, atleast check ur back mirror and then apply brakes suddenly with hard to full force . Then youll hear the grinding GRRRR sound indicating ABS is working.

    try slightly maneuvering the car when brakes are applied if u got any doubt still about the car tyres locking
