Unhappy Crack emerged on newly bought Wagon R

    Hey guys,

So I recently bought wagon R from pak suzuki motors in lahore.
But after around 600 kms there is a huge crack that has emerged on the windshield of the car. You can see the crack in the attached pictures. The car has not been hit by anything and you can clearly see that the origin of the crack is from inside near the below edges of the screen ...seems like a fitting fault. ni? I went to the showroom and showed them.
At first when I verbally told them they said it must be a stone but when they went out and saw it themselves. He was silent and asked me to take it to the service center below for checkup
My car is just a week old with extended warranty plus its insured.
So when I asked them to treat it under warranty they said that it doesn't come under warranty. Is that so?
I will be getting an insurance claim but this was really disappointing and there is also some crackling noise coming from the front dashboard from the very first day.

Kindly let me know if anyone has any advice regarding this whole issue. thaaanks

This can be done under warranty. Most reasonable showrooms are mini motors under cavalry bridger and sethi motors on ferozepur road.

Maybe ac was on plus it would be hot outside coupled with poor installation caused the glass to stress and it developed this crack

I dont beleive you would get any benefit rather would have to get it fixed yourself thus get it done at the earliest since weather is hot and if you parked your car in direct sun with all windows completely closed, this crack would start moving upwards and what could happen then is pretty obvious. Get it professionally n cleanly filled with the ultraviolet sealant and refrain from parking the car in direct sun/extremely hot weather with all windows fully closed. If parking is inevitable, try to park it under some shade with all four windows a bit lowered, and if parking is inevitable in sun, lower all the four windows amply to let the heat n pressure be released adequately possibly protecting the glasses from cracking/breaking specially front windshield.

Taking aforesaid measures would in sha Allah save you from the pertinent loss.

Replacement is the remedy for worst of the worst scenario and as a last resort. If no way out and replacement is the only option then it would cost him 12-13K Rs which would definitely be a burden so prior this he can try a repair remedy provided original ultraviolet sealant coupled with a true professional treat the crack.

Its been couple of months that I had got treated my wagonrz windshield crack about more than a feet long from left hand side towards right hand side and in the middle, Alhamdolillah its movement is stopped and have taken my vehicle to 170 couple of times. Want to save him from a big loss with safety. Allah forbid if he couldnt get any benefit, replacement is there but it would not only cost him a huge amount but would also consume his time plus a replaced windshield may attract objections in future incase he wants to sell the vehicle and if any potential buyer noticed that.

Replacement front windshield costs Rs 11, 500 at 3s Peshawar when I inquired couple of months back and If I am not wrong as I remember he quoted a bit above Rs 10K. At the least 3S gonna charge 800 to 1500 for replacement. Here at Peshawar a few professional repairers are there who use American Ultraviolet Fluid through a syringe supporting the crack from a device atta hed to the windshield from the cabin.

I beleive there must be alike repairing professionals in Isloo or Rawalpindi.

Maybe in Rawalpindi. First they have to drill holes on tge sides on crack to stop crack from expanding then they can use the required glue or whatever for repairs. I don't think that anyone in Pakistan can do the job like its supposed to be done.

Tempered glass never broke like that, it usually breaks down in crystalline form. Paksuzuki not giving safety glass in WagonR? or is the glass already replaced?
