Default Yamaha to setup engine plant

Today, I saw a news in daily Jang(which was although a confirmation for me),that Yamaha going to setup their engine plant in some industrial zone at a big scale & will employ around 25000 people here in Pakistan.

We should comment on this news.

Plus I need that exact newspaper cutting but in english, somebody please provide me that link.

    Thank you.

If Yamaha is setting up their plant at Karachi it means they will be doing business indipendently and no local venture, thats good coz local manufacturer's thinking is too much conservative.

I think Yamaha in Pakistan will be the only independent international brand and it might be possible that they bring their modles from India or Thiland, i hope they can do so, in this way investment will not come to pakistan, but new modles can come to Pakistan.

Pakistani Govt. have a soft corner for India and they are willing to start trade with india thats why they reduces inport duty on Motorcycle CBU's in last budget.

They are setting a huge plant in Karachi. Means all infrastructure will be local. They are giving 25000 jobs. What do u call investment.

If they will prdouce engines or bikes based on the Indian or Thai models, wont they sell in local market.

Is this only a statement or any fruitful reality? are they willing to do so in this law and order situation?

^ Thats nice. But it gives no idea of what kind of bikes would be produced once this plant starts manufacturing their machines. Any idea???

Well I guess they will produce at least something different than these models running on our roads, machines from the antiquity. DYL and Atlas Honda have closed their eyes to the changes which have apperd in the 'biking' market in all these years.
