Thumbs up Yamaha to invest $150million in Pakistan

This is the latest and confirmed news. I heard the news on GEO and also came across this LINK

I see it as a prologue to an entirely new era in "motor biking" in Pakistan. For the first time Yamaha will locally manufacture bike from 125 to 150cc range, plus the bikes will be featured with EFi technology.

Lets hope they bring something according to the desires of the biker's community.

exactly, trust me its such a nightmare taking care of the GS i mean i dont ride it in pindi (this job is reserved for sprinter). And when in islamabad i always have to find a secluded parking space for it where people wont be able to scratch it intentionally/unintentionally.. ye baat apki blkl jayiz hai. in fact when i came to know that my new office would have an open parking space i was like bas yar.. ab gayi bike.

I didn't understand how cg suit our road breaks are just fragh the best way to escape any accident is to make a sharp cut and escape but when ever I tired it I got frighten becoz very slim/thin rear tyre when I had junoon I use to test it limited even made some very sharp cut that even the front tyre lost control but the rear was still fine i think @rizwan4340 and @JUNOON007 would also have same experience the only thing cg offer is resale

Junoon is much heavier feom front and wheelie type stunts can't be done on junoon easily. 125 is very light weight from front. In case of sudden brakes both these bike have different outputs. Junoon will remain straight on road even after pulling front brake at a speed of 90 km/h . But 125 will skid on one side. ALHAMDULILLAH i nevet had this issue in my bike

I have the same experience that junoon is more suitable for pakistani road as compared to cd/cg even when braking hard it doesn't skit and also provides best seating posture for pillion as well

I think junoon is discontinued. Now dyl is running its business with 70cc and one mini 100cc and one normal 100 cc..

I think every one has misunderstood my word I was trying to say that I have used or I say abused junoon many time and have tested the bike to its limited the thing I was trying to say was that I have tried many sharp cut on it the the front tyre side have touched the road and bike didn't skit junoon front is very heavy but if we use 16/34 sprocket size on the we can perform one wheeling on it tried my self but this type of thing damage clutch box

Any updates about the bikes? Few days back some one posted that Yamaha has introduced few bike to the dealers and they rejected because of sound. SO any think happening over it just waiting. BTW i hope that yamah should launch MT 125 and FJ600 or R6 If they have long term plans in Pakistan. Making these bikes in Pakistan will also be cost effective for Yamaha.

One thing more i just recently saw on a indian website(zigwheel) there I saw that big companies like yamaha, honda, kawasaki, harlay davidson, ktm and alot more unvails their bike frequently from e.g 100cc to 1300cc. And companies are doing business and also india is getting benefit as well.

I Wonder what our policy makers drinks..........

India has a bigger, more educated and well aware motorcycle market as compared to Pakistan and it was for that reason that companies like Harley Davidson and KTM introduced some models especially for the Indian market, so there is no comparison between them and us.

As far Yamaha is concerned, they will launch their bikes by May/June 2015 and I think that what you have heard about bad sound is just a rumour or perhaps a negative tactic used by existing companies because they know Yamaha is going to give them a tough time being another motorcycle giant. Lets wait and see..
