Thumbs up Yamaha to invest $150million in Pakistan

This is the latest and confirmed news. I heard the news on GEO and also came across this LINK

I see it as a prologue to an entirely new era in "motor biking" in Pakistan. For the first time Yamaha will locally manufacture bike from 125 to 150cc range, plus the bikes will be featured with EFi technology.

Lets hope they bring something according to the desires of the biker's community.

I agree with the points tamour bhai is mentioning... but kuch batain mind men hain :

1- Will it be a road dominator in Signal to signal Drags ? (CG Dominates Big time in this category and this is the main reason GS/RP never owned a Respect among racers).

2 - Price Tag : Deluxe is already a product of a niche market (so does the GS/RP are) if YBR launch is only focused on such a small part then why they are setting up such a big manufacturing unit I think they have much biger Plans this time and have come here to take Atlas with both hands once and for all, and to tackle that they really will have to fight on different horizons including Price tag and resale value as well.

3 - YBR OEM manufacturing is done by Lifan (Just like Yamaha Virago400 which is also found as Lifan 400EC Vtwin) and few other Chinese companies so stop Dreaming that its a Japani Bike its a china bike which is brought to Philpines/Thia e.t.c and later sent forward to various countries

    my 2 cents.

3rd news is a huge one, so now china conscious people are also going to stay away from this bike, and may be even though its Yamaha the bikes will have teeny tiny bit of issues.....

Let's not jump to the China quality thing here. Chinese produce what quality you the client wants.
Have your kid/sibling/cousin ever had a McD toy? Those are of damned good quality and are MADE IN CHINA.
We should hope for Yamaha to bring in quality material. I don't care for the source as long as it is of a good quality and trade/manufacturing is done on labour ethical practices.

Thats the point Quality comes with price and if it is priced high and the product speaks for it self then the manufacturing source doesn't really matter, but we have lots of nickel head who are obsessed over "JAPANI"

Its not some thing specific to Yamaha, Honda, kawa all have there OEM manufacturers in China. not to mention, for American/African markets these companies have plants in Brazil and other latin countries due to cheap labour and supply CBU's from there.

For Asian/European and Austrllian market they use china.

@vickytulla I agree k Lifan is OEM for many Motorcycle brands. My point was the care and quality they will put into these bike will matter. Although it will not be Japanese but they will put their experience. Still this will be better that most of the bikes in the market. Signal to signal drag as CG does.... this machine is very grunty in the low RPM range and smooth in the higher side. GD110 has been seen many time beating a STOCK CG on signal to signal drags . Secondly now we have one more issue that for races we will use CGs for next 50 years cause of the knowledge we possess for that bike and the alterations and availability of trillions of used, scraped and "ok" bikes , so in case we some how mess one we can surely get the second one easily.

yea the qaulity will matter largly ... YBR is the most talked about in Bikes market these days as well..

but for GD what I have observed abuot its top speed is that it is the leader in top speed in its own class which is 110~100cc but I have never seen it taking on a 125 class bike.

My personal experience with GD is I have tagged along friends like @mqsdrana and @RocketScience who have been on there GDs along side with us they happen to lag top end speed.

Other then that GD has the quality, the buildn the finish way above what others manufacturer offers locally.
