Thumbs up Yamaha to invest $150million in Pakistan

This is the latest and confirmed news. I heard the news on GEO and also came across this LINK

I see it as a prologue to an entirely new era in "motor biking" in Pakistan. For the first time Yamaha will locally manufacture bike from 125 to 150cc range, plus the bikes will be featured with EFi technology.

Lets hope they bring something according to the desires of the biker's community.

Everyone who were looking for Yamaha Dealers can now visit OUR SHOP | YAMAHA MOTOR PAKISTAN Pvt., Ltd and see the list and details of dealers.
And I must say, it's a very long list of authorized dealers. Yamaha has really worked for it's network.

The slideshow on Yamaha Pakistan website suggests what they might have in store for Pakistan market because the images look to be clicked in either India or Pakistan.

The "heavies" might be released after test launch with YBR-125. Credit goes to Suzuki as well for paving way for modern motor-bikes finally beginning to come to Pakistan by taking the bold step of bringing GD 110, Intruder, Inazuma and Hayabusa to Pakistan in 2013.
    First deserve, then desire.

Honda CG125 may be an obsolete platform, but there is no arguing that it is one of the most reliable and tough bike. People here may not understand the technical details or be aware of what they are missing but everyone knows that this is a bike you can depend on. Calling people "Jahil" is not right. Not everyone in Pakistan is a keyboard warrior so they only know what is presented to them. CG125 may be a piece of junk in this modern age, but it will not fail under stress where most modern bikes will. It is brutally simple yet very dependable bike.

Don't just leave the discussion like this buddy. Please teach us the advanced concepts of performance and whatever else you want in a bike but in simple easy english terms so that we could learn easily. Peace out

My concerns are only about the comfort and smoothness as i dnt drive fast.
If we are getting the same bike as sold in india but with a couple of additional features, Believe me, Yamaha is still charging a lot more at PKR 129,400 than the actual worth of this bike. Price of YBR125 shouldn't be more than 100k here if Yamaha intends to treat us equally as it is treating the Indian market. People have mentioned here that these bikes will be a little expensive at start because these were imported not produced here. Corporate giants like Yamaha dont care much for such small amounts when they try to penetrate a market. So technically the bike we get should be a lot BETTER than what is being sold in India and UAE etc because Pakistani customers are going to pay a lot more than what customers in those countries are paying. In India YBR125 sells for 50-51k. Thats roughly 82-83k in Pakistan. Now do the maths yourself.

No thanks.... people here just dont want to talk about that topic....! Things would change one day may be Yamaha in Pakistan open their riding schools like they did in other countries....! But i think until that we should not talk about that topic at least on this forum.....!

every cHonda claims 2k in their "users manual" ... in reality the best mark is after 1k-1.2k kms range.

finally i saw sanity here on this thread.. after many brawls and brags by honda fan/ wana be yama fans and mods warnings

this shouldnt be more then 100k

for 1: honda 125 is already extremely overly priced bike.. because it has seen no competition and has always increased its prices.. unlike their 70 .. 70 price is controled by cHondas... otherwise only 70 would be above 1 lac..

2: if a chonda 70 is for 40-45k this cause 20-25 k differnce against brand honda ... we all know that good chondas are at leat 80-90k % equivalent of honda .. so going by this judgement a chonda 125 shouldnt be more then 65-75k .. after all both 70 and 124 requires almost same number of components only differnce is minor size increase .. which shouldnt put its price such high.. ... but above 25-30k gap should be due to taxes...

3: going by the above logics yamaha shouldnt ride on the base price of honda and consider itself above Honda after all honda is the biggest small engine manafacturer in the world .. a fact..

4: yamaha should give prices lower then honda as new entrant in this overly saturated biking market to get a good start and set a bench mark. because yamaha doesnt have that much setup for these to be launched bikes that honda has for whatever they laucnh. even honda 100 was a bit different breed then 70 and people struggled with finding its parts for initial few year of it.. even now its parts are not readily available at remote places easily

5: also see below pic (taken from original link in first post of this tread.) .. eff ka kah ka carboratorrrrrrr engnie da dia ha..

just read the statement of President Yamah Motors // so it seems yama has made a fool of us..

President Yamaha Motors said their company would bring advanced technology to Pakistan where initially 22,000 motorcycles of 125-150 cc, per year, would be manufactured
in the factory with EFI engines and during the next ten years its production would reach to 750,000.
Yamaha to invest 150million in Pakistan -1567605
    @ALL
you have the right to differ from my above opinions.. but be realistic ..

Bhai, India and uae are enjoying these kind of machines from many years of yamaha, honda, tvs and other local and international brands so there is a competition + the government keeps balance on the taxes ect. Now if we look at the Pak market these type of machines are like audi among corolla, civic and suzuki ect and the current policies of local vendors are earning handsome on low package bikes which has covered mass market in Pak therefore chondas. I think the price tag of Yamaha is quite reasonable since 150 is now selling in 123k without alloy and disk brakes with old technology engine.

Bhai, gd110 is a good bike agreed but still lacks in modern looks and other accesories like disk brake ect also the price is way high for a 110cc machine. As far as intruder and other beasts are concerned so they are not even sold in qty of 10, Pakistan bike market is for chondas only.
