Default Another news update regarding new Yamaha manufacturing plant in karachi

    Salam to all readers,

I was just reading August 17th 2011 news paper when i just read out the news where some local manufacturers show there concerns over establishment of new Yamaha manufacturing plant out here in karachi.

They says if it would happen, local bike manufacturers and jobs of thousands of their industry labors would be in affected.

But i don't think so it would be a good decision to discontinue the process of establishment of new manufacturing plant of yamaha as on the other hand, it would bring some more employment and some new models of the well known brand as well.

    Here is the link

^^^ RX series back will cost more than the Honda DLX 125 .... cause 125's all parts are made here in-house ..... for RX, we will have to the engines from a plant outside Pak.....

eg:- the Suzuki Shogan a 2stroke costs more than a sprinter 110.

I really hope Yamaha starts manufacturing/assembling some good quality and not to mention new design bikes in Pakistan. Its good that local bike industry would get hit because that hit would act as a wake up call for the local "CHAKRA" manufacturers to finally star producing some competitive quality products instead of plain C.R.A.P! cant wait for those bikes to hit the showrooms

if they would reproduce RX, then you know its sale will be unstopable, and nobody will bother about its price....i am ready to buy 0 meter RXS-115,RX-KING135 or the RXZ in 150k,or more then this
and whats you say????its not impossible coz these models are still under production in TURKEY.BRAZIL,BOLIVIA....so why not in PAKISTAN too?????

^^^ It can be..... also depends on how big they are thinking... I say yamaha should take a start like Suzuki did for GS, as the assembling local and than start with small tweeks in the start with local employment for manufacturing.

As far as I know Mr.Saleem Mandviwalla is the lead Person for this, cause these Mandivalla ppl are in Travelling, Plastics, Pak Suzuki sales, cinema and other small businesses in Karachi.
