Things which we feel are missing:

    1. Engine kill switch.
    2. Pass switch.
    3. The YBR-125 basic model for those people who are looking for a new family bike or just those who like things retro.

How come Yamaha has chosen to cheapen out on front disk brake? Single cylinder hydraulics? Am I just blind or is it really the case?
Double piston caliper isn't a very big requirement in 125 category. A simple single piston caliper will do its job very well as compared to a drum brake

About the missing items that people are talking about.

Kill Switch(not of that importance to me or maybe others as well as many people always set theirs to ON)
The Pass Dipper Switch(Very Must as it is an important feature for any vehicle for visual signalling)

The strategy that should be followed when a company opens its business is the product's specification where these basic and tiny features DO matter. No doubt. Yamaha Fans will buy these bikes but with a minor complexity hidden in their minds. that these were a cheap and basic features that yamaha could have easily added. But its the minds behind the business that plan anything. Its their business. I am owning a ravi piaggio 2014 and having pre-lauch specification in my mind. i was sure to go for yamaha. but the day i came to know that Yamaha is coming with a carburetor instead of an Electronic fuel injection...I cancelled my plans thinking that the only difference is of Sporty Rims. SO i am waiting for other variants maybe Yamaha Realizes the market requirement.
Finally I would thank yamaha for coming to pakistan with a big boom. atleast i can install its rims to my ravi piaggio till the required variant drops in Best of Luck Yamaha

My cousin who works in motor cycle plaza rawalpindi said k ybr nay bohat museebat daali hooi hey. Right from launch, daily advance bookings are double the number of available ybr stock. Handling cash of 130000 for each bike is trouble for him :-)

Yeah, I am missing engine kill and pass switches so much. My GD has them. So I am kind of used to them; it would now be hard to ride a bike without these basic, cool features.

And about your decision to sticking to RP, I think Yamaha are offering a better engine and they have an ingenious engine design - not a copy/paste of AHL 125 motor. It is my opinion.

Yes! about the gear shifting sequence.. Yamaha users should be careful while riding it. The UP-SHIFT action of a normal Bike is Yamaha's DOWN-SHIFT action.. Such confusion in greater speed might cause engine over rev causing damage to tappets or other components.

Don't you guys think that the tyres are too skinny. I think a little fatter tires would have been great

Nopes bro these are perfect. Wider tyres would probably increase the handling and comfort but will result in slower acceleration and increased fuel consumption. Bike is excellent to handle and very comfortable on these stock size tyres though.
