luks like they are saving cost by removing parts from the bike. YMPK luks inspired by TIMPK
well there is not doubt they have saved cost coz if you just check Europe YBR 125 Model its cost around 4 Lac so providing same product with same Specs in 130k is not possible

    YBR125 2014 - Motorcycles - Yamaha Motor UK
    ? 2,599.00

Why compare with UK cost? This is not a UK model since it is assembled here with some parts/kit probably imported from one of the east Asian countries. That UK cost would include:

    1 - VAT,
2 - Import taxes (if manufactured elsewhere) or labor/assembly charges (if being built there with expensive workforce)
    3 - Shipping charges
4 - Dealer margin (probably much higher than given here)
    5 - EFI engine
    6 - Other small tidbits.

If you want a more appropriate comparison, compare price and features of this bike against the Indian market (~INR 51,000/-) which comes out to about PKR 81,500/- . That is much lower than the PKR 130,000/- being charged here.

waiting for the poster to complete his bikes break in period.I want to know the acceleration response of the bike along with its top speed.
Is it reaching 120km/hr as shown in many you tube videos.I think the quality of the product is good. Now lets discuss some engine performance here , acceleration , top speed., gear shifting, braking.

you are right but for India in 1LAC PKR you can see what would we have sacrificed so i think we got a well priced model compared to specs and addons

    @rajahasnain92

One more thing, are the headlights and taillights connected to battery or it is engine dependant like in CD 70 and CG 125?

They are direct, i.e. connected to battery like RP, GD.

Brother As you told gear pattern is bit confusing. Can you tell in detail from 1 to last gear direction during acclerating and after that what is direction that how to get back to neutral from last gear. I hope you understand my point. Wese it is bit strange to know because in Pakistan we normally use from first to last gear forward and after that from last to first gear with back shifter. Mostly different type of gear pattern use in big bikes all over the world. In Pakistan Cd 200 Roadmaster also used in back time different type of gear pattern. Rest of old bikes of pakistan I have no Idea might be they were different. I drove Roadmaster so knew that it's gear pattern is different.

From neutral, we press toe down and it goes into first gear. Then we push toe up (or heel down) and it goes into second. Then again push toe up (or heel down) and it goes into third then fourth and fifth just like that. To go back in neutral, we need to go all the way down to first which would be achieved by pushing toe down repeatedly. Then when we are in first, we gently push toe up (or heel down) halfway which would put it into neutral.

Motorbike enthusiasts wouldn't need to sacrifice anything if Yamaha started off with more reasonable profits, it being a new entrant in the market with nil market share (DYL doesn't count), rather than trying to recoup all their investment with just one model. Just see their difference in retail pricing (~PKR 50,000) for YBR125 between India and Pakistan. Disappointingly, their pricing mechanism seems to use a hit and run strategy. Lutto tay phutto.

This was very well explained by a member on some Yamaha thread: economics.

India is a much, much (5 times) bigger market than Pakistan. To stay competitive, Yamaha sell more units at less per unit profit in India and few units at more per unit profit in Pakistan.

But still, ~50k difference is humongous, we could have gotten a lot more goodies against this difference

you dont need to take it all back till 1st and then neutral, just press forward 5 times n neutral is there
