    Default Yamaha ybr 125 2015

    Hi. Pakwheelers,

Allah Almighty has bestowed me Yamaha YBR 125 on the Mubarak day of Jumma-tul-Vida i.e. 17th July 2015 at the introduction price of Rs.129,400/-.

The Yamaha YBR 125 is a light motorcycle made by the Yamaha. first Introduced in 2005 in the world other than Pakistan. Now in 2015 it is introduced in Pakistan.

I have researched on this bike from different angles e.g. Fuel Consumption, Price, Engine type, Looks, Power, and Accessories etc. As many of you know that I was proud owner of Honda Pridor and it was the first bike sold by Honda at that time in Lahore market and was a very good bike which was totally hassle free.

The part of my research is shared with you all friends here in the form of a table.
Yamaha YBR 125 has changed the style of people on the road as it is the most lucrative bike ever in Pakistan. Being the introducing bike; Yamaha has produced it with the following pros. & cons.:
    Pros. & Cons:

    1. Soft touch Self-starter switch.
    2. Comfortable to use indicator switch.
    3. Headlight with parking light and sleek visor.
    4. Most Attractive and Sexy Tank with slip support while breaking the speed with front disc break.
    5. Alloy wheels of 18 inch size each.
    6. Sophisticated and stylish meter with 140km/hr. limit and an easy vision in the night with glowing needles.
    7. Full chromed muffler with safety layer of chrome putty.
    8. Butterfly Carburetor for more efficient fuel delivery.
    9. Big Battery and direct head light ON function.
    10. Beautiful Fuel on/off switch. Overall looks are killer and Color quality is impressive.
    11. Bike covered up till 15000kms with 5 free tunings.

The cons. of Yamaha YBR 125 are:

    • Mud guard in front of rear tyre is missing. The mud guard of front fender is also missing.
    • Engine Kill switch is missing.
    • Dipper switch is missing.
    • The distance between the chain cover and rear tyre is narrow.
    • Parts are very expensive.
    • Missing issue before 1000km.

The Comments and ideas are always welcome.

Me and my friend shuffle from driver to pillion and pillion to driver after 4 hours and feel relaxed when 1 of us move to drive.

He said "Yar main 10 Hour drive ker k nai Thakka jitna pichay 3 hour baith k thak gya" and He was Right.

    2. 2nd and 3rd Gear pick is low even 2nd Gear Pick is low from Honda Pridor 100cc (Bike was only 1000 Km driven so maybe after tuning this pick slightly improved) But keep in mind Pick will never compete Honda CG's Pick

and all others things are good, No vibration, No noise, very Good Grip on KKH even on high speed turns...

Good Top speed even my weight is 80+ and mine friend weight is 60 , we feel no difference,
Thanks for your review.some people said ybr is underpowered and perform like a 100cc bike.is this true?

It is not true at all as it is not a racing bike. But it is true that it is a street bike and made for your daily routine driving.

Yes you can do it. The front's one is attached with the 3M Double side tape and then with ELFY it was provided more stickablity.

The rear one is attached with the help of screw there at the end of rear fender.

@OP - is there any special trick to shift the gear to neutral? Why it stuck most of the time?

    When running, gear shifting smoothly.

Sometime it shift to neutral when shifting from high to low gear. Mostly from 2nd to 1st,

Disc lock install kerna bohat hi asan hai. Actually jo black plastic part hai wo lock ka holder hai aur wo no plate k nut sey he fix hota hai. Lock ko aap utar ker disc k kissee bhi HOLE mein laga detey hein.

It's trick is very easy as I experienced. Bro you have to push/hit the gear lever softly when you want to shift to NEUTRAL.

Thank you Bro - u r right but sometime its stuck completely. I have to move the bike to change the gear.
Also I have to attempt few times to neutral it. Is there any possible issue? I have already adjusted the clutch.

Also is it necessary to change the oil @ 300 for the first time? or we can go up to 500?

As I have heard and done in my Pridor's case; I got changed the first engine oil on 300Kms and same will be done in case of my YBR.
