    Default Yamaha ybr 125 2015

    Hi. Pakwheelers,

Allah Almighty has bestowed me Yamaha YBR 125 on the Mubarak day of Jumma-tul-Vida i.e. 17th July 2015 at the introduction price of Rs.129,400/-.

The Yamaha YBR 125 is a light motorcycle made by the Yamaha. first Introduced in 2005 in the world other than Pakistan. Now in 2015 it is introduced in Pakistan.

I have researched on this bike from different angles e.g. Fuel Consumption, Price, Engine type, Looks, Power, and Accessories etc. As many of you know that I was proud owner of Honda Pridor and it was the first bike sold by Honda at that time in Lahore market and was a very good bike which was totally hassle free.

The part of my research is shared with you all friends here in the form of a table.
Yamaha YBR 125 has changed the style of people on the road as it is the most lucrative bike ever in Pakistan. Being the introducing bike; Yamaha has produced it with the following pros. & cons.:
    Pros. & Cons:

    1. Soft touch Self-starter switch.
    2. Comfortable to use indicator switch.
    3. Headlight with parking light and sleek visor.
    4. Most Attractive and Sexy Tank with slip support while breaking the speed with front disc break.
    5. Alloy wheels of 18 inch size each.
    6. Sophisticated and stylish meter with 140km/hr. limit and an easy vision in the night with glowing needles.
    7. Full chromed muffler with safety layer of chrome putty.
    8. Butterfly Carburetor for more efficient fuel delivery.
    9. Big Battery and direct head light ON function.
    10. Beautiful Fuel on/off switch. Overall looks are killer and Color quality is impressive.
    11. Bike covered up till 15000kms with 5 free tunings.

The cons. of Yamaha YBR 125 are:

    • Mud guard in front of rear tyre is missing. The mud guard of front fender is also missing.
    • Engine Kill switch is missing.
    • Dipper switch is missing.
    • The distance between the chain cover and rear tyre is narrow.
    • Parts are very expensive.
    • Missing issue before 1000km.

The Comments and ideas are always welcome.

In my opinion amjad bhai you may be right as the linings of the bridge can easily be seen in the video.

May be it’s a flat bridge on a rain water passing or a canal under the straight road.

readings at low speed atlas honda cd70 cg , cg dream have accurate meters

It depends on meter (even varies meter to meter) and deliberately configured over-reading of speed by the company. GPS is relatively accurate and with multiple readings averaged out, it can provide very accurate reading, Even Suzuki Inazuma's meter deliberately over-reads by up to 6% in stock bike and can be made more accurate by changing front/rear sprocket combination or else, re-calibrating it.

My reason for emphasis on GPS speed is purely to avoid any other 'speed' related disagreements (like earlier in other threads) since only speeds measured with accurate reference are comparable.

brother he is definitely using bridge its confirmed after Racer bhai post

but i trust on what you are saying 115km/h in 5th gear from the videos on net
on international ybr we have seen in some videos it does achieve such speeds
and certainly bikes engine has alot of power it achieves speeds with lows stress
on engine low rpms but don't know why it struggles to 100km/h in international videos
also and specially the pakistani ybr takes alot effort to cross 100km/h which has disappointed
some users and some fans like me who has not bought but little bit disappointed with its performance
    almost same like deluxe 125

on net there couple of videos ybr doing 120-130km/h but in that video clearly can be seen guys are using height

Yamaha ybr still a very good bike in price but it would have really rock if it was possible to cruise at 100km/h with ease
    and with top speed 110km/h

Amjad bhai, you have used Deluxe 125, what is your experience regarding the top speed of Deluxe:
Does it also behaves in term of achieving the top speed like the comments we are getting about YBR?

Yes i agree with Racer too... I just come to know by him about Bridge..

Well Bro many of Us Bought this Bike directly from 70cc to YBR.. Believe me on Fb Group 60% People don't even know the reserve either upward or downward... My bike don't take much time to shoot at 100kpmh easily it can touch 110kmph...

Mainly YBR Don't have better mechanics... Local mechanics ruining these bikes.. But it doesn't mean YBR don't have ability to touch higher speed at ones...

Currently People are facing many issues after first tunning and Japanese are very serious about these issues.. GTG day by day increasing by these Japanese even MD of Yamaha Mr. etto attending all...

In short this bike will need some time for best performance until mechanics will Get well trained...

Racer Bro i don't know well about it.. May be you will need any expert advice... I installed it at 750+ km... Now am on 2300+ km... Nothing happened till now and am enjoying its smoothness alot... Just one thing i will surely suggest you to not allow mechanic to touch your Bike carburetor... Other wise your bike will start missing... Wait till mechanic Get Trained.. Best of Luck

Yes bro biggest complain i had and i have with deluxe is the top speed
only once i touched 110km/h on bike when it was brand new after
that i never saw that speed on meter i have tested other my friend
deluxe 2013 too deluxe sticks at speed 90-95km/h and with double
don't expect it to go beyond 90km/h

now my cg dream which is 4gear mostly touches 100km/h and with less wind
easily cross 100km/h and touches 110km/h

than why are ybr owners getting their bikes tuned so early and ruining fun of their bike
i think we should recommend them not get their bike tuned so early i personally recommend
fellow Racer yar don't get your ybr tuned unnecessarly at 1000km as after that you might
not get fun that you want to see in ybr and i have recommended in my first comments to
ybr owners here do check your bikes performance before getting it tuned and letting nonsense
idiot mechanic touch it mechanics here are really idiot still most don't even properly tuned atlas bikes

ybr is big thing for them they do their ustaadi they are in pride always

Okay well, I will use it Irridium plug after the break-in period, it will remain better. Secondly the YBR’s carburetor is a butterfly based carburetor which does not need any tuning for thousands of kilometers.
Also my previous bike Pridor’s carburetor remained intact and never ever needed to open it until I have driven it 35,400kms and the carburetor was as is it.

deluxe 2013 too deluxe sticks at speed 90-95km/h and with double
don't expect it to go beyond 90km/h

    Yes
now my cg dream which is 4gear mostly touches 100km/h and with less wind
easily cross 100km/h and touches 110km/h

than why are ybr owners getting their bikes tuned so early and ruining fun of their bike
i think we should recommend them not get their bike tuned so early i personally recommend
fellow Racer yar don't get your ybr tuned unnecessarly at 1000km as after that you might
not get fun that you want to see in ybr and i have recommended in my first comments to
ybr owners here do check your bikes performance before getting it tuned and letting nonsense
idiot mechanic touch it mechanics here are really idiot still most don't even properly tuned atlas bikes

ybr is big thing for them they do their ustaadi they are in pride always
Yes I understand that if deluxe being a 125 with 5 gears and less goodies does not have a good top speed then the price of YBR 125 is very much justified.

As far as the speed is concerned I would give much time to my YBR to get the best of it. You know in our Pridors it was our wish to totally tune our Pridors ourselves and for that purpose we have shared information that how adjust the tappets etc.

Now it’s the time to get little training to adjust the tappets my self to avoid the low profile YAMAHA Mechanics. What do you say?

yes its possible by gaining some knowledge i think you start search on this
and yeah i know you would not but still i say don't get it tuned very early
get it tuned atleast after 3000km

Ybr valves are like CD70 or Pridor which in my view are more easier to adjust
and assessing them would not be difficult as compare to cg
