cool to know!!! but do they have compression test and HP testing, torque measuring facility if yes then they sure might have abilities to check whats wrong if no then I am afraid they are just another jugaru even though they have basic tuning training..
mechanic without proper tools is like a soldier without a gun.. how can one tune a bike when he doesnt even know if bike is producing the torque and power without having no gauges to measure it... off course "hit and try" and that hit and try creates even more complications..
as far as I know only Atlas Industry have these facilities and there properly tested and tuned CG with such a historic engine beats the hell out of these modern bikes till date.. what a sad reality.
I agree with you that mechanics should have COMPRESSION, HP and torque measuring equipments.
Yes, HONDA Atlas has these equipments, not sure about YAMAHA but I think we're discussing mechanic capabilities not industry right?
Even HONDA doesn't give these to its mechanics
There are many free flow exhausts available in the market that will cost you a mere 500-600/- bucks. They might even look cool on your bike, agreed. But then these exhausts give you the decibels you are looking for, but the back force that the free flow exhausts causes, is not created in the engine. This results in a drop in the overall performance of the motorcycle. Since there is no more pressure created in the entire flow of the combustion cycle, the air sucking action due to the back pressure and the fuel intake/injection is very erratic resulting in incomplete combustion and hence there is a lot of smoke.
This causes a fall in the bike?s power production capability and also reduction in the efficiency of the bike by quite a lot. The noise output will make you feel that the bike is running faster than before

How Does a Free-flow Exhaust Affect Engine Performance?
Aesa he hay jis kay pass jo bike hoti hay wo oos kay leay the best hotee hay but your comparison is absolutely wrong why you are comparing a 125cc to 150cc
it is as like as you are comparing A 70cc to 100cc is there is a power difference between 70cc & 100cc->?
I can ask there is a lot lot lot of difference & +25cc is really a big advantage
Both bikes have their own class in my opinion there is no comparison between these two
Its all about your own choice what you want to ride and how you want to see your ride so Suzuki is giving best engine performance in 120 to 130K price tag and Yamaha providing beautiful body shape and some other features in same price tag so everyone must compromise between these to differences
