Thread: Yamaha YBR G not crossing 90 km/h

    Default Yamaha YBR G not crossing 90 km/h

    Slaam to all @Xulfiqar, @vickytulla, @amjad635, @saboor73



    i bought YBR G model few days back

    now odometer reading is 1200 km

    i did running very carefully

    according to advice of friends i changed oil first at 250-300 then 700 and now at 1025 km with liqui moly 10w40

    i did running according to following steps


    first 200 km speed was 40 km/h

    200-500 speed 50-55 km/h

    500-800 60-65 km/h

    800-900 80km/h

    900-1025 tried to speed it up

    but not crossed 100


    speeding pattern is

    in 2nd gear 60 km/h

    3rd gear 80km/h (10000 rpm)

    4th gear 90km/h with 8000 rpm full throttle (some times 95)

    5th gear no use RPM decrease and also 5km/h speed decreases




    one thing that is teasing me that when i changed first oil a lot of metal particles were in oil and there also a "Needle" of just 1.5 inch was also present in oil


    i am very tensed what to do

    pakwheelers help me please

And i have changed my carb's mixture settings like 5 times, in past 3 weeks. (I keep a screw driver in my bag, and wherever i feel that the mixture is not right, i part the bike on the side of the road and set the mixture again.).

    From all the things you have mentioned, your bike seems just fine. You are looking for perfection, which you won't find anywhere. So stop wasting time.

    Bike starting issue: Do the valves adjustment yourself, and also the mixture settings (without opening up the carb). A LOT of tutorials on YouTube. Incorrect mixture settings and very tight valves are also one of the reasons your bike may not be starting up properly. The worst case scenario might be a bent valve, but that can't happen in a brand new bike, unless you are hammering it way too hard.

    Top Speed Issue: If it goes to 95km/h ... your ride is just fine. Screw those idiots who claim to get 130km/h out of their a**. Its technically not even possible, when ALL the other rides in the same 125cc class are unable to achieve that speed. Even a CG125 these days is maxing out at 105km/h, and that bike is like a paper weight infront of your heavier YBRG.

    If I were you, i will stop wasting my time with any Mechanics, and take matters in my own hand. Buy the necessary tools, and DO IT YOURSELF.

    i take a lot of care of bike

    i never used 1 single of spare part china, or local always Genuine

    so in the habit of perfect bike

    lakin yeh zaroor kahoon ga k yamaha ki customer care services and after sale services YAMAHA ko progress ni karney den ge

    ya behavior change karna ho ga ya phir Good bye


    i mentioned many times about top speed, actually i am not kind of Rocket driver, baat yeh hy k pehley oil change pr kuch needle type cheeze bahr ayee thi

    main ander ander se yeh soch raha hoon k Engine ko Damage ho gya hy aur is waja se daily issues ho rahe hen

    however i will try at least one time to tune up my bike my self

    Arshad kindly don't take my this post a discouragement but i really recommend
    first of all take a thorough research on net on how to tune bike cd70 and cg125
    than attempt for tuning air mixture tutorials are also available and YES there is ybr
    video also there but its animated rather search you should find guides for tuning of ybr

    Process for Valve Adjustment: Yamaha YBR 125 Owner Blog : Yamaha YBR 125 blog valve clearance adjustment tappets

    NOTE:
    + Leave the bike to cool overnight (for best results). At least 8 Hours of Rest should be give to the engine. But Don't start doing Valve Clearance on a very cold engine. It'll never be done right.
    + When you want to start doing the process, Turn ON the engine and warm it up for like 30 seconds or 1 minute ... just enough so that you can keep your hand the engine without feeling uncomfortable.
    + NOW follow the process above.


    For Carb's mixture adjustment, look at some videos on YouTube to understand how carbs work. After understanding that, you will only have to turn a nut to set the mixture.


    Its not difficult, but technical, and yes requires A LOT of patience. You will never get it right on first try so don't be disappointed if you don't. I was able to adjust my tappets properly on 5th or 6th try. It took me more time to understand the Carb's mixture. So be dedicated. Do it for the sake of your knowledge and understanding, as you are learning a skill. So try to learn it with a passion, if you can.

    Also, winters are here. On your next oil change, you should pour a 10W-40 instead. It'll keep your engine running more 'freely' in this cold (which is about to get even colder) weather.

    If you can bear the cost, Liquimoly's 10W-40 costs nearly Rs.1000 per 1L bottle. If you don't find it, then find some other 10W-40 instead, which should be much cheaper than that.

    Pra Jee, Mobil 1 use karo to batana. 20W-40, 20W50, ya 5W-50. Waiting to hear back from you.

    Kisi din apni bike k tank mai spark phenkna phir puchunga jalti hai k nai.

    Seriously! . Main nai to bike k tank main teeli laganay ko kaha tha. Lagta hai aap nai kahin aur laga li. There's a thing called sense of humor jo shayad aap main nahe. I won't bother answering your post again. Get a life bud.
