The Chery Tiggo 8 PHEV is a midsize 7-seater plug-in hybrid SUV that blends strong performance with high efficiency. It combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine with dual electric motors and an 18.3 kWh battery, producing up to 496 hp and around 730 Nm of torque. The system allows up to 90 km of pure electric driving, with total range exceeding 1,000 km in hybrid mode. It features Chery’s Super Hybrid (CSH) system, offering electric, hybrid, and parallel drive modes for maximum fuel economy. The cabin includes premium materials, a large digital cockpit with dual screens, ambient lighting, and advanced safety assists. Positioned above the Tiggo 7 PHEV, it targets families needing space and technology while delivering low emissions and high comfort in one package.

Engine

The Chery Tiggo 8 comes with a 1.5 litre 4 cylinder turbo engine which generates a power of 154/5500 hp/rpm at a torque of 210/1750-4000 Nm/rpm. Tiggo 8 further has a 6-speed DCT transmission. 

The maintenance of Tiggo 8 might be a bit difficult as it is the first car being launched by the company in the Pakistani market. Therefore, it will take some time for the mechanics to understand the car’s repair work. Its auto parts should be easily available as the car will be manufactured in Pakistan. 

The ride in Tiggo 8 is smooth and the handling is easy. The abundance of driver-assist features makes the experience convenient. The engine of Tiggo 8 is quite good but it lacks sharpness. The 6-speed transmission is a bit sluggish which makes the response time greater and makes driving inconvenient.
