After increasing prices for locally assembled cars, Toyota Pakistan has announced a hike in rates of CBU units. According to a notification, the prices have been increased up to Rs. 20 lacs. The cars included Corolla Cross, Prius, Rush and Camry and here are the revised prices of these cars. As per the company, new prices will be applicable on all new orders on or after May 11, 2022.  Toyota CBU car prices First, we will talk about Corolla Cross, which comes in three variants. Corolla Cross The first one is Low Grade and it saw an increase of Rs. 1,070,000 taking the price to Rs. 12,249,000 from Rs. 11,179,000. Then comes Smart Mid Grade and after getting a jump of Rs. 1,140,000, its new price is Rs. 13,099,000 against previous Rs. 11,959,000. Last one is Premium High Grade and its new price is Rs. 13,419,000 compared to previous price of Rs. 12,249,000, meaning it observed a hike of Rs. 1,170,000. Toyota Prius The new price of 1.8L Toyota Prius is Rs. 14,649,000 against Rs. 13,389,000 as company has increased its price by Rs. 1,260,000. Toyota Rush This vehicle comes in two variants and here are update on its prices. First variant is Rush G Manual and its new price is Rs. 8,009,000 against Rs. 7,329,000, meaning its price has been hiked by Rs. 680,000. The second one is Rush G Automatic and after seeing a jump of Rs. 710,000, its revised rate is Rs. 8,329,000 against previous Rs. 7,619,000. Toyota Camry  The famous car by Toyota has observed a jump of massive Rs. 1,990,000, meaning it will now cost Rs. 23,319,000 against last rate of Rs. 21,329,000. Toyota Coaster  The price of 29-seater has been increased by Rs. ,1340,000 and now it will cost Rs. 16,149,000 compared to Rs. 14,809,000. Toyota Hiace Deluxe The car has five variants and here its new prices: First variant is Standard Roof and its new price is Rs. 7,979,000 compared to old Rs. 7,299,000, meaning its price is increased by Rs. 680,000. Then comes High Roof Manual which saw an increase of Rs. 780,000 and now its price is Rs. 9,099,000 compared to Rs. 8,319,000. Then we have Tourer High Roof and it will now cost Rs. 10,399,000 against Rs. 9,489,000 as it saw a jump of Rs. 910,000. At fourth, we have Luxury Wagon  (Low) and its revised price is Rs. 11,199,000 compared to Rs. 10,249,000 as its price has been increased by Rs. 950,000. Fifth variant is Luxury Wagon (High) and it saw an increase of Rs. 1,100,000, taking the rate to Rs. 12,879,000 compared to old rate of Rs.11,779,000.  

In a very shocking news, Toyota car prices have been increased once again. It is pertinent to mention that the company has increased the prices for second time in almost a month. According to the company, the sudden devaluation of Pakistani rupee has made it extremely difficult for IMC to hold the current retail selling prices. "Hence we are compelled to pass on some impact to the market," the company said. Toyota Corolla New Prices  There are six variants of Toyota Corolla in Pakistan currently and here are their price hikes. The first one is Corolla Altis X Manual 1.6 and its previous price was Rs. 3,749,000 and after an increase of Rs. 160,000 it will now cost Rs. 3,909,000. Then comes Corolla Altis X Automatic 1.6, which has seen a hike of Rs. 170,000 and now it will cost Rs. 4,099,000 compared to Rs. 3,929,000, previously. The third variant is Corolla Altis X Automatic 1.6 Special Edition (SE), which used to cost Rs. 4,309,000, and after a jump of Rs. 200,000  its new price is Rs. 4,509,000. The next one is Corolla Altis X CVT-i 1.8, which also saw an increase of Rs. 200,000, taking the rate to Rs. 4,499,000, against previous Rs. 4,299,000. Next one is Corolla Altis Grande X CVT-i 1.8 (Beige Interior), which saw a jump of Rs. 210,000, taking the price to Rs. 4,859,000 compared to old rate of Rs. 4,649,000. And last but not least, it is Corolla Altis Grande X CVT-i 1.8 (Black Interior) which used to cost Rs. 4,689,000, but after a jump of Rs. 210,000 its new price is Rs. 4,899,000. Revised Prices of Toyota Yaris  The next one is Toyota Yaris, which also come in six variants and here is the update on its prices. First one is Yaris GLI MT 1.3 and its current price is Rs. 2,899,000, after a jump of Rs. 140,000, the new rate is Rs. 3,039,000. Then comes Yaris ATIV MT 1.3, which saw a hike of Rs. 150,000 taking the price to Rs. 3,209,000, compared to previous Rs. 3,059,000 At third, it is Yaris GLI CVT 1.3 and after the latest increase of Rs. 140,000 the new rate of the car is Rs. 3,249,000  against the last rate of Rs.3,109,000. The next one is Yaris ATIV CVT 1.3, which used to cost Rs. 3,229,000, and after the increase of Rs. 150,000, its new price is Rs. 3,449,000 As fifth variant, we have Yaris ATIV X MT 1.5 and its new price is Rs. 3,449,000 after an increase of Rs. 160,000. It's last price was Rs. 3,289,000. And finally, it is Yaris ATIV X CVT 1.5 and after an increase of Rs. 160,000 its new price is Rs. 3,659,000 compared to old rate of Rs.  3,499,000. Toyota Revo Price Change And the revised prices of Toyota Fortuner are: The first variant is Hilux E, and its previous price was Rs. 7,059,000 and after an increase of Rs.300,000, it will now cost Rs. 7,359,000. Then comes Hilux Revo G Manual 2.8, and company increased its price by Rs. 330,000, taking it to Rs. 7,989,000, against the previous rate of Rs. 7,659,000. At third, we have Hilux Revo G Automatic 2.8, which saw an increase of Rs. 350,000, meaning its new rate is Rs. 8,379,000, against Rs. 8,029,000. The fourth variant Hilux Revo V Automatic 2.8 used to cost Rs. 8,839,000, but now its price is Rs. 9,229,000  as its price has been increased by Rs. 390,000. Lastly, it is Hilux Revo Rocco, which used to cost Rs. 9,319,000 and after seeing a hike of Rs. 410,000, its new price is Rs. 9,729,000. New Rates of Toyota Fortuner At the end, we have famous SUV, Toyota Fortuner and here is the update on its prices. First one is Fortuner 2.7 G and previously it cost Rs.  9,499,000, however, after an increase of Rs. 460,000, it will now cost Rs. 9,959,000. Then comes Fortuner 2.7 V and after a jump of Rs. 510,000  its new price is Rs. 11,459,000 compared to Rs. 10,949,000. Third variant is Fortuner 2.8 Sigma 4, which saw an increase of Rs. 550,000, taking the price to Rs. 12,039,000, against previous Rs. 11,489,000. Fourth one is Fortuner Legender, which used to cost Rs. 12,099,000 and after the hike of Rs. 580,000 its new rate is Rs. 12,679,000. Terms and Conditions  According to the notification: New price will be effective on all orders on or after April 30, 2022. On all orders booked before March 23, previous price will apply. All order booked from March 23 to April 29, 2022 which are "good to go" on or before June 20, 200 will be invoiced at previous price. All DFS orders from March 23 to April 29, 2022 which are "good to go" on or before June 20, 2022 will also be invoiced at previous price. These prices are exclusive of transportation, transit insurance charges, etc. The new prices are provisional and price applicable at time of delivery will be final.  

Earlier this month, we told you that Toyota Pakistan has suspended the bookings of all of its cars. "Due to current uncertain and volatile market conditions, the order intake for all Toyota models has been closed till further notice," the company said. However, there is a good update regarding this as the car company has reversed its decision.  Toyota has resumed the bookings of its cars, and that is without increasing any prices. So, Toyota lovers can now visit their nearby dealership and book the vehicle of their choice. And as we mentioned earlier, the costs have not been increased yet, which is an important update since multiple companies, including Kia Lucky Motors, Changan Master Motors, Proton Pakistan, and Prince DFSK, have recently hiked their prices. Still Not so Stable Situation  The company suspended the bookings because of the country's unstable political and economic situation. A couple of weeks ago, the country was going through a political transition while the dollar price reached to Rs. 190 from Rs. 184 in a matter of a few days. Although the new government is established now, however, the economic instability, especially the rupee devaluation against the US dollar, is still on.  As per market reports, today's dollar rate is Rs. 186.50, which was Rs. 182 a couple of days ago. So, it seems that the market will continue to face fluctuation and issues. It also means there could be a price hike from Toyota as well in the coming days, although we hope it doesn't happen.  Toyota Price Increase The last price hike by Toyota Pakistan happened on March 22, 2022. The company jacked up the prices of all of its locally assembled units up to Rs. 1,257,000. Today, featuring in another episode of the owner's review is the Toyota Mark X 2007. Widely famous among enthusiasts and one of the modern classics produced by Toyota. The Mark X was launched back in 2004 and was a successor of the Mark II. It is a rear-wheel-drive mid-size sedan with a powerful engine and luxurious frills. It came in 2 main variants, the 250G with a 2.5-liter engine and the 300G, which had a 3.0-liter engine. This particular car is the 300G premium variant which produces 252hp and 314Nm of torque and is fully equipped. This car was imported in 2020, and the owner bought this car a few months back for Rs. 4.2 million. Salient Features This 300G is the top-of-the-line variant and has all the Toyota's features in this car. These include a sunroof, rear shade, 10-way electric seats, adjustable suspension, radar, adaptive cruise control, traction control, auto parking, dual-zone climate control, speed sensing doors, and a list of other features which modern cars equip. It also has 18-inch alloys compared to the 16-inch wheels in the 250G and 8 airbags. Purchase Decision The owner previously drove a 2021 Corolla Grande and wanted to switch to an imported car. He had a budget of Rs. 4 to 4.5 million, so he opted for this car as it had way more features than local cars and was in immaculate condition. Fuel Average of Toyota Mark X According to the owner, this 3.0-liter mark X gives around 10 km/l within the city and around 13 to 14 km/l on the highway. "The bigger the engine, the better output and fuel average," he stated. Maintenance and Spare Parts According to the owner, used parts are readily available in local markets, and are pocket-friendly as the car is pretty old. The owner replaced the cracked dashboard, a known issue of the mark x, which was easily available in the local market. The owner does basic maintenance from local workshops, and oil change costs Rs. 6500 to 7000 every 5000 kilometers. Ground Clearance of Toyota Mark X The low stance of the Toyota Mark X may seem troublesome in terms of ground clearance, but as per the owner, it does not touch the ground even with 4 passengers as the car does not drop its height and clears speed bumps with ease. This particular car has a body kit, so the front lip sometimes scrapes the road, but otherwise, it's good to go. Known Faults in Toyota Mark X One of Mark X's main issues is the cracking dashboard, which many other Toyota models faced in that era. Secondly, the rear hump takes up a lot of space, compromising comfort for the rear passengers. Another known issues is the headlight throw decreases with time, and the bonnet shocks wear out with time.
