Proton SAGA – Game Changer Sedan is Almost Here!

Proton SAGA is another much-awaited sedan in Pakistan. Earlier, Proton has introduced its crossover SUV, X70 which has received quite positive response from the local buyers. Now, the company is all set to introduce its sedan, meaning the sedan category will be more competitive, which is undoubtedly great.

So, according to our sources, Proto will launch SAGA on April 4, 2021. Earlier, we reported that car would be launched on April 2,  however, it seems that the company has changed the plans due to latest COVID-19 lockdown. Our sources have further claimed that car will be available in showrooms on April 5. 

A very exciting news indeed.

Expected Variants: 

 If we talk about this new car’s variants, the sources believe that the company will launch 5 variants of SAGA in Pakistan. It is pertinent to mention that SAGA has four variants internationally, i.e., Standard MT, Standard AT, Premium AT and Limited Edition R3 AT. The first these variants will have 1299cc engines, which the company has downsized from the original size, especially for the Pakistani market. The engine produces 95hp and 120Nm torque. Furthermore, the automatic transmission would be 4-speed.

However, R3 would come with a 1332cc engine. . As per our sources, the company would offer RS variant in a limited capacity and sell only CBU units.

Expected Price of Proton SAGA:

As per our sources, the price range of Proton SAGA would be between from Rs2million to Rs2.5million. It means the car would be a direct competitor of Changan Alsvin, Toyota Yaris and Honda City.
