Deliveries of Proton X70 Started – Sources

The current phase for the auto industry can be called as unpleasant because of the repeated price increases and late deliveries. Proton Pakistan is one of the companies which has been facing the issue of the late deliveries due to COVID-19 restrictions and recently non-issuance of Letter of Credit (LC) by State Bank. However, it seems there is a good news for Proton buyers.

Out sources have said that the delivery of Proton X70 has been started. “The company has restructured the warehousing and spare parts supply to meet the demand,” the sources said. So, it means we could see the crossover SUV on our roads soon.

Here are couple of pictures of the crossover being delivered to the dealerships.

So a very good news for the Proton buyers because the company has faced backlash over this issue. We do hope that Proton will resolve all the issues and end the consumers’ complaints.

Price Increase

Yesterday,  Proton cars saw a price increase. In a notification, Al-Haj Automotive said that the reasons behind the price increase include fluctuation in PKR vs. US parity, global supply chain disruption, and fluctuating freight charges. Furthermore, the government has placed restrictions on Letter of Credit (LC) opening, increasing the challenges of importing the required quantity of CKD kits.
