Honda Car Prices Increase by Up to Rs. 200,000

After Kia Lucky Motors, Hyundai Nishat Motors, Changan Pakistan and v (PSMC), Honda Atlas Cars has also come up with a price hike. If you’ve been planning to buy a Honda in Pakistan, this update might affect your decision.

Honda has officially released a circular announcing new provisional prices for its locally assembled CKD models, effective from 1st, July 2025.

Let’s break down what’s happening — and why.

Why the Price Hike?

The price increase mainly stems from a newly introduced NEV (New Excise Value) levy, part of the Finance Act 2025-26 by the Government of Pakistan. This new tax, on top of existing economic challenges like PKR devaluation and increased freight charges, has left auto manufacturers with no choice but to pass on the impact to customers.

While Honda Atlas had previously absorbed such cost hikes to protect buyers, they’ve stated that this new levy is beyond their control, and unfortunately, it’s now being reflected in car prices.

Terms & Conditions:

Earlier, in a surprising event, Sazgar Engineering and MG Pakistan (for MG HS Trophy) decided to absorb the effect of newly inflicted NEV Levy. These automakers retained their car prices.

The auto sector in Pakistan is clearly under pressure, and consumers are feeling it too. With Kia, Suzuki, and now Honda all announcing price hikes, buying a new car is becoming more and more expensive.

While it’s understandable from a business perspective, this development may push potential buyers to either act quickly before further hikes or consider more cost-efficient alternatives.
