Suzuki Swift Price Dropped by Up to Rs. 710,000
The price drop season in Pakistan has indeed arrived, marking a significant shift in the market dynamics. Following the footsteps of Kia and Peugeot, Suzuki Pakistan has now joined the league by announcing a substantial price reduction for its popular hatchback, Suzuki Swift. In a recent notification, the company stated that, in light of the current market conditions, it is pleased to introduce the ‘promotional retail sales prices’ for Suzuki Swift, effective from [May 1, 2024]. This move is expected to stir up the market and offer customers a more competitive pricing landscape.
Suzuki Swift New Price
- The first variant, Swift GL MT, used to cost Rs. 4,421,000, and after a reduction of Rs. 85,000, it will now cost Rs. 4,336,000.
- The old price of GL CVT was Rs. 4,719,000 compared to a new rate of Rs. 4,560,000 as it saw a drop of Rs. 159,000.
- The top-of-the-line variant Swift GLX CVT saw a huge drop of Rs. 710,000, bringing down the price to Rs. 4,719,000 from Rs. 5,429,000.
Terms and Conditions
According to the company:
- The revised prices include FED and sales tax, while advance income tax is excluded.
- The prices are provisional and can be changed without any prior notice.
- Prices and any government taxes and levies applicable at the time of delivery will be paid by the customers.
Price Drop Season
Earlier this week, Kia Lucky Motors and Peugeot Pakistan announced considerable drops in their car prices, especially for Stonic. Kia announced an Rs. 15 lacs reduction in the rate of Kia Stonic, taking everyone by surprise because, after the reduction, it became cheaper than Honda City and even Suzuki Swift (top of the line). This was a good move by Kia to gain some traction in the local market, and reportedly, it has received a very positive response from the customers as Stonic’s booking has reached its peak.
Apparently, Suzuki doesn’t want Stonic to take over the market, hence the significant decrease in the price of Swift, making it almost equal to Kia Stonic. This gives consumers in the same price range another option. These are positive signs for the local stagnant market.
