Taapsee Pannu Buys Mercedes Worth PKR 12.4 Crore
Luxury vehicles are no strangers to Bollywood, and the latest star to join the elite club of Mercedes Maybach owners is none other than Taapsee Pannu. The versatile actress, known for her roles in movies like “Dunki,” “Thappad,” “Badla,” and more, recently took delivery of the opulent Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, making quite a statement.
Taapsee’s new ride, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600, is a true symbol of opulence. She opted for a shade of Palladium Silver, setting her GLS600 apart from the rest of the Bollywood crowd. The delivery was made right to her doorstep, ensuring the utmost convenience and luxury.
Mercedes-Maybach introduced its inaugural SUV to the Indian market in 2021, and it became an instant hit. Initially, all 50 units allocated for the country were swiftly sold out, emphasizing the high demand for this premium SUV. The base price for the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 starts at INR 2.35 crore, ex-showroom, before any customization options.
The GLS600’s design embodies the Maybach signature, characterized by a grand chrome-dipped grille. Notable features include chrome inserts on the B-pillar and the Maybach logo on the D-pillar, showcasing its distinguished identity.
Inside, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 offers the choice of both four and five-seater configurations. The four-seater variant boasts a fixed center console with a built-in refrigerator, perfect for storing champagne bottles and complemented by silver champagne flutes. The cabin also features Nappa leather upholstery, an electronic panoramic sliding sunroof, ventilated massaging seats, and more. Taapsee’s choice of customizations remains undisclosed, and it’s unclear whether she opted for the five-seater or seven-seater configuration.
Powerful Performance
Under the hood, the Maybach GLS600 houses a potent 4.0-liter V8 engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This powerplant churns out an impressive 557 PS and 730 Nm of torque, with an additional 22 PS and 250 Nm boost available on demand. Power is efficiently delivered to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The GLS600 is well-equipped with an array of safety features, including Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, Active Steering Assist, and more. It also boasts Adaptive High Beam Assist, Adaptive LED tail lamps, 8 airbags, TPMS, a 360-degree camera, an electronic traffic control system, and numerous other safety enhancements.
