Toyota CBU Car Prices Hiked – Camry Now Costs Rs. 4 Crore 76 Lacs

After its locally assembled unit, Indus Motor Company (IMC) has increased the prices of its Completely Built-up Units (CBUs) today. As per the company, the new prices are applicable on all and new orders booked on February 14, 2023. “Furthermore, the new prices will be applicable on all orders in the system as of February 13, 2023,” IMC mentioned in the notification.

“Due to global inflation and national turmoil, Pakistani rupee has significantly devalued once again, that is why, it is become extremely difficult for the company to maintain current prices,” IMC said in the notification.

Locally Assembled Toyota Car Prices Hiked

On February 14th, Toyota increased its car prices third time in last 30 days. The company said that these indicative prices are purely provisional, and are subject to change. The major reason of this third hike is the devaluation of PKR against the US dollar, IMC asserted.

Interestingly the episode is not just limited to the price hikes but car sales. As per PAMA report car sales also observed a slump of 65%. And now, the new price hike series will further hurt already dwindling sales charts.
