“Willing To Pay Even 1 Crore for Honda Civic RS” – Owner Review
Today we’re back with the owner’s review of the newly launched Honda Civic RS. This is the 11th generation civic, launched earlier this year in 3 variants. This top-of-the-line RS variant comes with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 176hp and 220Nm of torque. This increase in power is due to the LL CVT transmission. This generation of Honda Civic got mixed opinions due to its high price, so let’s see what the owner has to say about his experience with the the car.
Purchase Decision
The owner had kept many cars, including Sportage, MG HS, and Audi A3 recently, but he specifically wanted the Civic as he had kept all the generations and wanted some performance from the car. He bought the car for Rs. 72.5 lacs. “Even if the Civic’s price goes up to Rs. 1 crore, I would still buy it”, he added.
Honda Sensing
Honda sensing is a safety package that Honda has offered in the RS variant, including features like lane assist, auto braking, adaptive cruise control, etc. The owner seems very impressed with it and thinks these features are useful for him. Moreover, the refinement of these autonomous features is very good compared to the MG HS, which has some glitches.
Fuel Average
The owner is getting a fuel average of 10 to 11 km/l within city and around 14 to 15 km/l on highway which is impressive considering the power figures of the car.
Missing Features
Although the car has a host of features, the owner misses a few things, including rear ambient lighting, wireless charging, and electric seats. Furthermore, it has only 2 airbags while competitors in this price range offer around 6. “These features would have helped the Civic enter Sonata’s league,” he stated.
Interior Space
The car’s interior space has improved from the last-gen civic, and seats are very comfortable. Rear legroom has also increased, and passenger comfort is perfect. Storage spaces are sufficient in the interior, along with a decent-sized boot.
Ground Clearance
Civics is not known for its ground clearance, although, according to the owner, it is satisfactory. He feels that it is a bit less than the previous generation but is still not a major problem.
Parts and Registration
The owner is not aware of the parts’ prices and availability but presumes that they will be expensive. Other than that, the registration cost landed around Rs. 1.5 to 1.6 lacs.
