BIG 3 Sales Faced a Significant Downtrend Last Month

For the last couple of years, Pakistan’s local industry has been facing stages of ebbs and flows. The episode commenced with closed LCs, import restrictions, low sales, not enough inventory, disrupted supply chain, etc., thanks to the historic economic meltdown.

The sales chart remained down for more than a year, but local car makers were hopeful for good days, and they came. The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) reported several jumps in car sales. However, BIG 3 (Pak Suzuki, Toyota Indus Motors, Honda Atlas) sales observed a hefty blow.

Coming to year-on-year (YoY) sales reported a growth of 60%. Local car manufacturers managed to sell 8,589 cars last month compared to only 5,377 vehicles sold during the same period last year.
