Ghandhara to launch JAC T6 double cabin pickup

Ghandhara has become much vigilant after being awarded Brownfield status by the government. The company is gearing up to launch double-cabin pickup JAC T6 in Pakistan in the coming days. We have also confirmed the news from one of the official dealers.

The upcoming JAC T6 is equipped with 2.0L diesel turbo engine coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission that produces 134 hp at 3600 rpm and 320 Nm of torque at 1600-2600 rpm. Moreover, the dimensions of the vehicle are 5315mm x 1830mm x 1815mm (length x width x height) and has a wheelbase of 3090 mm.

The loading capacity of the vehicle is 1041 Kg.

As for the safety features are concerned the vehicle has airbags, ABS and Electronic brake distribution (EBD) etc.

Internationally, JAC T6 comes with many features:

• Tyre pressure sensor
• Power windows
• Bluetooth connectivity
• Multifunction steering wheel
• Central locking
• Infotainment system
• Air conditioning
• USB port
• Camera for park distance control etc

However, it is not known if the similar features will be available in the locally sold T6 as well.

The vehicle, when launched in Pakistan, is expected to be priced at around PKR 2.6 million.

Moving onward, Ghandhara has started assembling JAC X200 locally in collaboration with its Chinese partner JAC Motors. The first Roll Off ceremony of the locally assembled X200 was held on April 2018 at Ghandhara Nissan Truck Plant, Port Qasim, Karachi.

The company is also all set to launch Datsun cars in Pakistan. Ghandhara signed an agreement with Nissan Motor company on 28th March 2018 and in the light of the agreement Nissan and Ghandhara will work closely to develop Ghandhara’s plant located in Karachi into a world-class manufacturing plant.
