PAMA – Car Sales Increased By 39% Last Month

This month, we present an updated analysis of the financial performance of local car manufacturers, with a focus on the sales data from the previous month. Our report provides a detailed examination of the top-selling vehicles, key industry players, and valuable insights from the most recent statistics released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA).

Car Sales

According to the PAMA report, following a 5% decline in April, car sales surged by 39% in May. The latest data reveals that local manufacturers sold 10,949 units last month, up from 10,596 units in April. In addition, there was a notable year-on-year growth of 35%. This brings total sales for the 11 months of FY25 to 126,226 units, reflecting a 39% increase compared to 90,545 units during the same period last year.

Motorcycles and Three-Wheelers

The sale of local motorcycles and three-wheelers saw a notable 11% increase last month, reaching 150,175 vehicles compared to 135,721 in April. Year-on-year, sales surged by 26%, up from 135,721 units sold in April 2024.

Atlas Honda, recorded month-on-month increase of 13%, selling 130,240 units in last month compared to 115,300 units in April’ 25.

Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki sales increased by 51%. The company sold 2,854 bikes in May 2025, up from 1,892 units in April.

Yamaha Pakistan sold 597 bikes last month compared to 499 units in April 2025. Similarly, United Auto Motorcycle managed to sell 13,525 bikes last month.

Trucks & Buses

Sales of trucks and buses have been increased by 17% last month selling 610 units last month compared to 520 in April 2025.

Company-Wise Sales Breakdown

It is worth mentioning that sales numbers for Kia Lucky Motors, Master Changan Motors, Regal Motors, MG Motors, and Al-Haj Proton are not included in the report as they are not PAMA members.

Car-Wise Sales Breakdown

Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) sold 3,409 units of Alto, 252 units of Suzuki Cultus, 224 units of Suzuki Wagon R, 792 units of Suzuki Swift, 386 units of Suzuki Ravi and 456 units of Every.

Toyota Indus sold 3,814 units of CorollaYaris, and Corolla Cross and 1,015 units of Fortuner and IMVs.

Honda Atlas sold 1,870 units of City and Civic, and 135 units of BR-V and HR-V.

Hyundai Nishat sold 180 units of Elantra, 122 units of Sonata, 353 units of Porter, 569 units of Tucson and 83 units of Santa Fe. Similarly, Sazgar Engineering sold 915 and 4 units of Haval series and BAIC, respectively.
