Strange but looks practical.
Yes it is pretty common on commercial transport.
how do they power it ??
How does it looks and is practical?
it is practical.. only if car is parked and a.c is connected to main power 220 v.. but this a.c cant work while car on road..
how they power it while moving
they dont power it while moving
[h=1]electric air conditioning for cars with battery solar powered DC compressor[/h]
Copper coils mounted on a fan, ice cold water running through the coils with the help of a small pump
Can this work with an online converter 12 v DC to 240 AC
I think it would get stolen in Pakistan.
i have seen these type of units inside at the back side of express news vanhow they runi dont know
they can be run off power inverters - but technically speaking - if this is a 12,000 btu unit - it will make this van an ice cream truck.
hahahhha lolz
I think it practical if you use even 1 ton a.c it will need 2 to 3 mint to make the a small van a refrigerator connect it with engine rev the engine hard and it will make the van chilled for hours
May be the outdoor unit fixed at the back have compressor removed from it and only the condenser unit along with the fan is connected to the already installed ac in the vehicle to augment the cooling level.
it would be 500 times more sensible to just double up the condenser on the original setup. these A/Cs run on R22 or R410 - the condenser type neither of which will ever work to augment R134 heat exchange
They need a generator to run it. Specially media vans have generator to power equipment so when the park for coverage of some event they start generator and plug the AC.
