Actually PIA Pilots are one of the very skilled in the world. I am not related to any of them, just the facts.
I've worked with some Airlines in US, and American Pilots practice the Hard-landings in US as well, just as their Arab counterparts do. It lands the plane faster and one which requires less skill. Its a bit scary and not very comfortable, as you can feel the plane hitting the ground hard, and it knock your body quiet hard, followed by a quick thrust reverser, that involves slamming the hydraulic Brakes and shutting down and reversing the engines to make a full stop fast, a very uncomfortable and nauseating experience.
The PIA pilots are trained vigorously to perform the smooth landing, which requires alot more calculations, Cross-winds, the vector, shear wind, Thrust, drag, altitude descend, etc. have to be in perfect harmony, to land the plane smoothly. Plus they apply the brakes smoothly and their thrust reversing is down at optimum, I don't know how they do it but plane stops, smooth as a knife on the warm butter, slow and easy. UNLIKE the American and the others....
You have to give credit where its due, and Pakistani PIA pilots are very good at this difficult manuer of smooth-landing. They do it to ensure a trouble free and Top Class smooth landing for all us Pakistani Passengers of PIA, and THIS IS HOW WE THANK THEM. By making fun of them. Now who is stepping over the line.
