Default Belts 660cc Japanese Suzuki Alto

I bought an automatic Suzuki Alto 660cc Japanese in May this year. Previously I had Honda Civic 1996 which I disposed off due to the long queues of CNG and not bad fuel efficiency of 1600cc civic engine. I am quite satisfied with the car which is pretty good with the fuel efficiency and is generally runny fairly well.

But I have this one problem with its belts. The generator belt and the AC belt started giving sound after a few weeks of the purchase of the car. I took it to a mechanic who said that the belts are fine and genuine. He was of the opinion that the belt is dry due to the car sitting on the port for some time. He applied some grease and the sound disappeared.

After a few days, the sound came back. I was quite disturbed. I asked him to change the belts. He did that. But, the sound re-appeared after a few days. By now, I have gone to many mechanics to get the sound fixed, but somehow it is not getting fixed permanently. Now, the recent issue is that the reckless mechanic has fixed a belt which is slightly oversized. As I have lost the original belts, I now have no idea what is the number of original belts.

Is there anyone else who is facing the same problem? Can anyone here tell me the belt number of Suzuki Alto 660 Japanese? All the mechanics say that the pulley of the car is working fine.

    Help appreciated.

the worst thing u did was changing the genuine belts..
Sound from belt is normal n it vanishes with a desi totka. next time u hear the sound, just pour some water over the belt
Body kits available for all cars...

Aqibasit................Thanks for the help. I seriously doubt the genuineness of the belts I replaced. I think every replaceable car part is replaced at Karachi port and then sold separately in different markets at higher prices. But, I would definitely try water on the belts. I heard water mixed with a detergent is better. Is that right?

go to Suzuki 3S dealership and ask them about belt specifications...?? or go to any of the millions of Suzuki auto parts stores in twin cities..
and i dont think so pouring water on belt is the proper solution....in this sweltering summer water evaporates before you get back to driving seat

the soap idea is that is removes the oil/grease/dirt buildup that causes the noise. If you are facing a returning belt squeal problem, remove the belt, and clean every pulley with brake cleaner spray and a brush - carb cleaner also works, but brake cleaner is more powerful.

    Dear Brother.
    A.O.A
The easy way to measure the belt is:
Take the inch tape and measure the distance between two pulleys...
The count the lines of the pully what i think 4 lines belt are used in small cars, but you still count the lines of the pully.
