used both .. the first one (without applicator) is more concentrated , lasts longer and gives the paint a shinier but darker colour.. much better than the other one
u can use them alternatively
Dear members I really loved the way most of you are detailing their rides and I must say I am learning a lot as I am new to this thread I had a few queries. I have a 2014 black colour corolla and hardy after few months of use I can see swirl marks all over the car despite the fact that I never allow anyone to use a wet cloth to clean it and strictly wash the car no matter what. I have recently purchased some meguires products
I would like to know what product to apply first and what to apply last for the three step detail
regards and best wishes to all
just bought some stuff, not heavy a$$ though
washing mittmicrofibrechamoisshampooastonish tyre cleaner
total bill was 1010 PKR.
spent my pocket money here, now left with only 150, LOL..will post some pics later
I have a few questions though.
what is the proper use of a chamois?I have a old microfibre, can I use it to remove dirt from my car by damping it?`my car is full dirty, how should I wash it, first shower it and then apply mitt soaked in shampoo-water on the dirty yet wet car or first remove dirt and then shampoo washing ?
what is the proper use of a chamois?

Congrats on the almost new car and welcome to the detailing thread!Black toyota paint is very good quality.
First wash with the double bucket method using a proper car shampooThen apply polish in circular motionsThen wax with ultimate wax and make sure you apply as thin as possibleThen give a detailer wipe with the detailer sprayTake loads of photos and post them on this thread:)
If you're ever stuck, have a chat with @ahmad_yar bhai. He has kept the best black corolla i have ever seen. For inspiration please follow the link https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/members-member-rides/187900-dil-tu-bacha-hai-gee.
Happy detailing!
A chamois will absorb a large amount of water without shedding lint. It still does not beat the swirl-proofness of a mf.The best way is to use a rinseless wash solution sprayed on the car body and then wiped with the damp mf.If the car is super dirty. Lightly shower it with water with zero pressure-dont drill the dust on the paint, use water sheeting technique. Then wash with double bucket method. The shampoo will remove the dirt you will not see with your bare eye so dont just wash it with water:)
was just wondering how much detailers cost for claying, waxing, wash or compound for hatchbacks and sedans respectively and come on guys don't act like i've asked some secret information about north koreas atomic assets
Good, professional detailrs charge around 8-13k for a sedan depending on ts condition. Its not a bad deal at all. Remember detailing is different from service station's abuse.
In States rates are per hour For what I read on Autogeek from 50-100$/hourHere in Pak don't know exactly

Had to choose between ArmorAll's Polishing Cloth and Meguiar's Supreme Shine. Was getting both for 600 each but after reading some reviews, the AA is alot better. Plus its huge compared to the Meg.
also got a wash mitt from METRO for 420 (lolz)..... the best one i could find there since the rest were all either too thin or hard. This one is like sooooo soft
Finishing off with the Paint sealant, which is non other than one of the best rated sealants around. With a rating of 5/5 on almost all of the top auto detailing forums, there is no question about it. thanks to @dynamicallystatic for being patient with my noob questions related to the sealant.
So IA will start working on the car this coming friday... Fingers crossed

MashAllah! Good products bro, I personally would have gone for the meguiars microfiber cloth but armorall is a good brand too, you should try their tire foam- good stuff. The wash mitt is just plain awesome if you want something even softer, buy the kenco luxury towel, its so soft im hesitant to use it! I havent used the mothers detailer spray yet but im sure it'll reduce dust attraction and increase depth. All you need now is a nice carnauba wax wax and you're good to go!Happy detailing!
Aoa detailers!Well, long story short i havent even touched my engine bay apart from regular fluid checks since a few months..Yesterday i gave it a shot after being inspired by @marwanpasha Process was quite simple, presoak was sprayed on the dirty engine and hosed off.Presoak was sprayed again and this time i rubbed out all the dirt and oil. Lifebuoy was used on the ac compressor because i couldn't even recognize it! Hosed off everything and started drying everything. Then i waxed all painted surfaces with turtle wax ice wax and then used turtle matt finish trim restorer on the plastics. The results werent perfect. The distributor cap area was still slightly dusty as i was working at eleven in the night and all i had was an emergency light in one hand and a mf in another:/ and i have to be careful otherwise it will give trouble starting. The grease gave me a really tough time so the total time taken was 2.5hours. When i was wrapping things up i saw that the car cover had gotten off the car and it had got wet from the water. I couldnt cover up the car and it appears that the cat has done its job once again on the fender! ;(
