How to bridge a 4 channel kicker amp. expert help required

Hi! i just bought a kicker DX200.4 amp.

It gives out 25x4 at 4 ohms.
but when bridged gives out 100x2 rms at 4 ohms.
I plan on bridging it to run a pair of polk components rated at 100 rms.

I want to know how to go about it and would our local installers be able to bridge it with ease or is it a complicated process?
Secondly i want it to be bridged in a way that i can still get a stereo signal and not a Mono.
Experts please help!

dude just bridge two channels to one speaker and two to the other...

and you will need two Y splitters... split the left signal into two and right into two and give each channel the left or right signal accordingly...

this wud make em work in stereo mode.... just make sure u set all channels to FULL or AP ( all pass)...and turn on HPF through the HU

@ mohsin129: Then wht if u hook both LEFT RCA wires to LEFTS on the amp and both RIGHT RCA to the RIGHTS in a criss-cross?

^^^ sir you need proper channel separation and a proper STEREO mode...so this is the way to go...

do remember to set the gains of both channels via a DMM(digital multimeter)...otherwise you do risk ruining your soundstage and worst case...ur speakers (maybe )...basically if not done this way...polks wont sound like polks

theres just one more question that i need to ask. on most forums iv read that when u bridge via y connectors u should use the front and rear rca's. uv recommended using the front rite and left on the headunit. would that make any difference?

not really. forums suggest that because front stage is usually where you want to have separate stereo channels. when u bridge rear channel in the usual way, it becomes mono and since rear channel is used basically just for fill in then it doesnt matter in rear channel. that is why they suggest rear channels.

btw the result will be the same whether u use front or rear channels.

Sir i suggested that for proper stereo imagaing...proper left to right stereo separation...that is the only PROPER way to do it...

This is an SQ install...so u need everything perfect...including imaging... so do as i said...otherwise u wud highly sacrifice on imaging and ruin the polk MM potential...

and just if ur wondering...when u use Y splitters...RCA voltage is not halved

dont think u wud need a Y splitter
thr might be a button to merge rca 1 and rca 2 input. its there in my zx series amp.

which polk components?

^^^ yeah if his amp has that 2 channel input feature then for sure he wont be needing the splitters...

and he as polk MM series comps....

Hi mohsin!
Iv hooked up the speakers to the amp exactly the way u suggested me to but there are a few problems. the speakers are running stereo but i cant run them on full/all pass. when i run them on full/allpass i cant raise the volume. as soon as i raise it up the speakers start making 'pop' sound. ajeeb patakhay marna shuroo ho jatay hein! what could be wrong here :S ?
Since that was a problem i decided to turn HPF on on both channels. good sound but now the amp is running extreeeemly hot. it gets so hot after 10-15 mins that u cant even touch it.
Please help :S

But when u wire the speakers in parallel they'l be running at 2 ohms. rite?
now im really confused.
