@aviator381 bro. accidents like that happen. they do all time. in a mark x id say the probability would be 3% factoring in and out the wear and tear which might account for say, 0.17% per 1000 kms driven. That comes out to be about base(3%)+driven(15.3%) = 18.3% per 1000 times you attempt to start a car.
the point which makes me still want to buy a clean mark x is
do i get better quality interior in brand new civic? Answer: No
do i get better ride quality in brand new civic? Answer: No
do i get to feel i bought a JDM which are of course better built than locally assemble cars? Answer: Yes
@sk_kingpin has made a great point for me
I have zero desire for an insignia right now
Since I intend to keep the car for as long as possible
getting clean mark x for me is going to be a better value for money as compared to new Altis Grande
except. for the resale value.
so, if peace of mind is your top concern bro and its going to be your first purchase of this size. You should not hesitate and just buy a new civic. if you're not satisfied with it say 8-10 months down the line. you can always incur a loss of 1.5 lac on it and buy something else. if you think 1.5 lac loss is worth it, that is. As for the fuel economy, I strongly believe 30% of it is all about how you drive the car.
ah. if only a 3-4 year old audi a3 would be available in that kind of budget...
