Well i do agree the roof is lower compared to the corolla and yes the infamous hump, it does ruin the interior but overall i sat inside and personally because of my long legs the driving position of the civic is better but the current gen corolla also has lower seats and i personally felt both are better compared to the 10th gen corolla seats and cabin space. However i think due to the way i keep my seat and sit i would have to go for the civic X being more spacious. I guess it varies person to person.
I don't own a city but my sister does and i don't know why but the plastic feel same as in the 9th gen doesn't do it for me. Again its a personal preference. I believe not taking anything away from the poor quality in certain areas but i guess after initial look one tends to move away from noticing these things later on. Most of my friends liked the 9th gen interior better than the 10th, I on the other hand like the current ones better but i guess it has alot to do with the fact that i have always been a corolla user so i am accustomed to their styling so for me this shift is not that much compared to for the 9th gen users.
I was thinking maybe the current civic issues also have to do with the fact that our expectations were very high this time around so coming down from that pedestal is shocking for most, including myself and the reason why we are so angry because we feel let down. We should keep discussing this in hopes that Atlas improves them in future units and to show that the customers are aware now and won't back down.
