In view of the expansion of gas when the
pressure falls from 200 bar to 3 bar, there is a
great cooling effect in the first stage of the
regulator. To counteract this effect the regulator
needs to be heated, which is done by circulating
hot water through this stage. This requires that
the hoses that carry the engine cooling water be
cut and detoured to the regulator via two “T”
connectors. The hoses to use should preferably
be those that come and go from the radiator of
the vehicle.
