The C-Quatre is Dongfeng Citroen's newest sedan which is mass-produced locally for the Chinese market. Based on the European C4, the C-Quatre sedan developed and built by Dongfeng Citroen is powered by either a 1.6- or 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, with a choice of five-speed manual and four-speed automatic transmissions, with the fashion, comfort and luxury versions available.
The 2.0L 16V engine, adopts the continuously variable valve timing system (VVT) and can generate a power output of 108 kW (147hp) and a peak torque of 200 Nm, which delivers exceptionally pleasurable driving. The 1.6l engine delivers output of 78 kW (106hp) and a peak torque of 142 Nm. Top speed for the 1.6l is 185 km/h while that of 2.0l is 205 km/h. Both the engines complies with the Euro IV emission standards.
