I think we all remember the time when Hi-Fi (High Fidelity Sound Reproduction) term was used. It promised best possibly reproduction, but there was surely a wide gap.
Technology has narrowed the gap, for sure, but it is not bridged, and perhaps it will never be bridged.
Couple of years back, I heard Zarsanga in Lok Virsa while sitting in the first row. The programme was recorded on professional equipment, and later on I heard the recording. There was HUGE DIFFERENCE. It was not the Zarsanga that I had heard in person.
Best singers get custom-made microphones ... at considerable expense, yet these microphones, or all the associated technology, cannot truly reproduce the sound. We can't say anything with absolute certainty about the future ,,, but the difference of being there ... will remain there.
Around midnight, his neighbour came and commented on what we were doing. Madhouse told him that he was lucky to be the first person to see the best sound system in a car ... (H)
It was a hot evening in Rawalpindi, and Madhouse sweated while he worked ... Perhaps you can see his sweating in the photos, but I was there ... he was tired .. he still has the backache problem ... but he continued to work .. worked for hours at a stretch ... and he needed a massage for sure. Yet, he wanted to get hold of his camera and capture what we saw with our eyes ... but as soon as we finished, we went out for drinks .... and it was about 1.30 when I dropped him ... so he could not use his camera ..
